Very straightforward approach with plenty of dedication. My favourite martial arts actor along with Richard Norton. Scott was part of the reason I decided to take up taekwondo later in life, after doing other styles earlier on.

Just wanna let you know you are inspiring (I love your work and really wish I could do some of the things you do), but also that I've been training for 20 years with arthritis, a fused ankle and the other foot fused, and I've had my hip replaced multiple times, and haven't improved a great deal. It's possible to work hard (most of the time I've worked on strength, cardio, and stretching to varying degrees for an hour most days of the week over that time) and get nowhere. Nutrition has helped a bit. If this comment is a bit of a downer, imagine how it is to live it 😁

If you want to do similar stuff to Scott, do taekwondo. That's his background. It's a great style for visual effects and kicking. If you want to see taekwondo in full contact fights, look up Steve Vick.

His secret is that since young he knew what he wanted to do and didn't settle for anything else. Whereas I was lost the whole time, trying to survive by working different jobs and sustaining myself. Now I'm 28 and I've a long way to go if I want to reach Scott's level. But y'know, my soul would die if I didn't do it anyway. If I didn't do my best despite my age. So I'm gonna do my best anyway, and that's the message I want to pass on. If you really love this lifestyle, this journey, this vibe, do it despite of anything else. Don't be afraid to put all your soul into something that nourishes your soul.
