This channel should be so much more popular than it is. It's a gold mine for this kind of guitar instruction. Thank you for all the effort you've put in here.

Why has no one commented on this?! Such a great little lesson on Mississippi John Hurt!

Hey, thanks for responding. I have close to five hours of instruction on John Hurt's music at our Patreon site, five of those are here on KZbin.com as well. And, I just talked with his granddaughter about doing some video interviews in November! I cannot wait. More on my use of patreon at: Patreon.com/ScottAinslie

@@scottainslie Hi Scott. When I was at Uni, over 50 years ago, a friend was awesome on the guitar and showed me a few picking patterns after someone from Mississippi !! It was of course you know who, and I’m REALLY excited as I go through your videos, trying to bridge lots of gaps in my guitar playing . Thanks for your video series. From the far side of the pond.

@@scottainslie No , a little bit further !! Unfortunately I can’t contact my friend from Uni who was from Hull, because how he knew so much then about Mississippi John Hurt , is beyond me. I guess it depends on the circles you move in. Me , I’m still going round in circles 😊

@@californiadreamin8423 Ah: it’s a bit clearer now. I was not that friend, but am now. Welcome. There are roughly three hours of instructional video on Hurt and much more on other things in our Patreon archives (for the low minimum price of $5/mo., bale at any time) at Patreon.com/ScottAinslie. All the best, s.
