Great speaking demonstration. His book, which I just finished reading ("Confessions of a Public Speaker") is awesome. Sidebar comment: Rubbing the nose indicates insecurity, he does it a few times. He gets a pass, as this video was early in his career :)

Magellan was killed by the native chief of Lapu-lapu City in Mactan Island, Philippines when he tried to evangelize the natives. Cook was not killed in the Philippines. The speaker is very good and subject is very informative.

@saeble im sure they paid him to talk for more than 5 minutes, and who would want to fly over their to talk for 5 minutes and leave? i bet as much speaking as he has done he can condense fine

I wouldn't call Isaac Newton a recluse, he was very intelligent and didn't conform to structure. He was a free spirit you might say.
