Im 33 - we were there - about 9 of us that all drove down from Sheffield uni (the collective reason why we all chose sheff uni wasnt the city but this amazing piece of history) and had the time of our lives. I was somewhere among that lot. Was possibly the first time I'd ever heard Lost Emotions 2001. I'll never forget the 2 minute breakdown (from 39:41). Hands in the air, everyone smiling. Makes me emotional even now, 17 years later. I miss those days so much.

I'm 37. We were there. 10 or so of us. We were all just outside this main room having just left it to get water or something. At 0:54:00 on this video my then girlfriend Jess said to me "where's Markee"?! -he was no longer with us. Had we lost him? At 0:54:25 I clocked the music spilling out. My eyes flicked (impossibly even) wider: U2! I knew where he'd be. Markee the massive U2 fan. In a room of what, 10 thousand people, I ran back in and found him instantly. Head down, hands up. We held each other and screamed. The rest of us came together. And that was the highlight of my clubbing career. I'll never forget it.

Pretty certain Scott Bond played for longer than an hour as his set time was 01.50 - 03.10 so around 70 minutes. There is a commercial break during Musique vs. U2 - New Year's Dub (Hybrid Remix) at 4.02 and read years back that he played "Chac - 7 Years" and "Push - Strange World (2000 Remake)" (From what I know, Tiesto also played Strange World in his set following Scott's). There were two GC events that year, one in april and one in october. This is the april one... the recording for october (that i was at also) never broadcast because Rapture went bust within days of the that event being on! Typical eh? I think the october night was called 'Red and Black' and was one of the best nights ive had on pills to be honest! hightlights were Oakey playing CJ Bolland 'the prophet' just as we were coming back in to the main room.. everyone just went fuckin crazy!
