@csd123tx this is very true; the Democratic Party has left young men behind. And it’s just not white men; the DNC and the Harris campaign were freaking out three weeks ago when their internal polling showed how many black and Latino men were deserting the Dems. Hell, even Obama had to change his tune very quickly. The Democratic Party has for too long favored gender diversity, which is awesome, but at the exclusion of men, which is not cool. They’ve supported fringe left groups that equate masculinity as something toxic. The woke culture is doing the same thing that the Christian right did in the mid-2000s when they got too high on their power and started kicking people out of the temple, until they basically became irrelevant.

People living in rural areas that don't benefit for recent economic growth and young men have been left to struggle and they picked the horse they think will take them out of the circumstances. No one wants to hear this, but it is 100% true. The democratic party needs a serious rebrand and our society has to start prioritizing the needs of everyone. Well done.

What I don't understand is why D women support Harris when she is all in for the 'trans' lunacy that only favors males who supplant women's sex-based rights. Paraphilic, male cross-dresser sex-fetishists, most heterosexual, invade women's sports, restrooms, locker rooms, prisons, rape crisis centers, domestic abuse shelters, rob them of prizes & awards, and on and on, even their breast-feeding support groups (those w/ a lactation fetish). And that they promote hormonal mutilation of minors and vulnerable adults. And even though the abortion issue is now in the states, not federal, and most abortions are by medication not surgical, they have been gaslit that it's the most important issue. No man or woman who supports the legal protection of 'gender identity' that allows a man to pretend to be a woman and opt-in to women's sex-class really cares about women's (and LGB rights which are also sex-based) and should consider how supporting the misogynist and homophobic 'trans' agenda will affect women's hard-won rights.

It’s quite interesting to observe the conversations surrounding the feelings and experiences of young men in 2024. Much of the discourse seems to center around their struggles and challenges, yet it’s essential to remember that women have faced significant oppression for many decades, often without the same level of attention or acknowledgment. Historically, society has frequently minimized women's voices and experiences, leading to a sense of invisibility in discussions about progress. It's about time we shift our focus and recognize the importance of women's advancement, as their efforts and sacrifices have often been overlooked. The reality is that when women have tried to carve out their space, they’ve often been conditioned to downplay their contributions or needs, which inadvertently allowed men to advance while women felt the need to make themselves smaller or less visible.
@meditatonmicrodose18 күн бұрын
Exactly! I am sick of listening about young men being disadvantaged. We’ve worked our asses of to get to this point, and without help from men. Young men need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and make choices that will improve their lives. If they’re doing drugs, playing video games and don’t take care of themselves. That’s on them! I’m so sick of hearing about this victimhood mentality. The majority of people who are successful haven’t reached the top by complaining and feeling sorry for themselves. We are 💯 responsible for our own life.

Young men are being emotionally crippled (*not beacuse of 'woke' stuff.) They have very few male role models who can handle being grownups with actual positive ideals instead of just grunt grunt make money. Grunt grunt make money does NOT help young men be quality human beings. *Also, 'playing violent video games while drinking and drugging during my non-work hours' is not exactly sexy to women. Men objectified women for so long and have reaped what they sowed. They created this environment and mad at their own system. Its HILARIOUS to watch so many men fall apart because they lost at their own game. I totally agree, he completely lost me at that point. Some estimates (Oxfam) have total number of deaths in Gaza at 186,000 people in just over a year. 70% are women and children. I don't care if they killed 10,000 terrorists, there is no way they can justify all those civilian deaths. And it's obviously not just 'collateral damage' as some might claim but entirely intentional. Scott even partly alluded to it when he pointed out that the Israelis were able to target 'terrorists' through their children by their use of social media. Oops. The Israelis even have an AI targeting system for this type of operation it's called 'Where's Daddy?'.
@biaibarrett13 күн бұрын
@@aries6776 Exactly. Too many civilians have died in the past year. This type of action can never bring peace, it's destructive and it is escalating conflict. I voted Harris/Walz and still believe they were best for the country. I was in disbelief the night of the election, but in the days following, I calmed down and began to see more clearly why a red wave washed across the country. Galloway is so smart and perceptive, and I wish more Americans would open themselves to ideas like the ones expressed throughout this video - if they care about the future of our country that is, and not just their preconceptions and political opinions.
@ligbzd83711 күн бұрын
All those voted for Trump FORGOT that Trump KILLED millions of Americans, their jobs, and their businesses during his pathetic management skills on Covid. The Democratic Biden & Harris team turned all that around. Now, almost ALL American have jobs, not dying, and our economy & stock market is at all time high. Inflation is now under control! Sure, not all problems are fixed yet. But they are on their way! The problem with Harris (Democrats in general) is that they are TOO HUMBLE to talk about their ACHIEVEMENTS. They need to TALK ABOUT their achievements in order for people to get it. Trump did NOT have achievements, but he TALK a BIG talk. That's what sales man and Con man do. So, as soon as Democrats, the humble people, learn to Sell themselves, they will every election. because historically, when Democrats are in office, the economy always did better. Google the history of economy and line that up with which President was in office.
@DarylOster7 күн бұрын
Galloway only sounds smart to those who don't understand a different perspective. Your disbelief may be based in an indoctrinated belief that the media has been telling you the truth about the 2 candidates. Just look at a red/blue map of the US most of the states colored red, most of the counties in most of the blue states are also red, most precincts in a lot of the blue counties - again mostly red. It boils down to city dwellers (who occupy less than 5% of the land mass of the US) -VS- those more connected to rural life and the land - thoes who own land and produce food, etc.. Galloway understands why a few demonrats in cities feel abandoned - but virtually nothing of the real political divide of the nation. To actually understand, Galloway (and perhaps you) might benefit from watching Tucker Carlson's 1hr:43min interview of Dr. Ben Carson from 3 months ago.

I really enjoyed this video. I thought his discussion of the plight of young men and why they are leaving the Dems was excellent. One issue I have is that he talks about bodily autonomy a lot and I think it's an important issue but I was shocked how all my "my body, my choice" friends didn't feel that way when it came to the vaccine and vaccine mandates. Other than that I really enjoyed this thoughtful, intelligent and interesting conversation.

I read your comment. Over all about bodily autonomy , you nailed it !!! Society has brain washed the individual to believe our BODY is not our privet responsibility. Society emphasizes abortion / vaccination. The easy way out. NOT THE SOLUTION.

I thought Trump would win because Americans are past the days of liking our government. We have stopped voting for the same party two consecutive terms in the Presidency. In 2028, America will vote for another party unless something very unusual happens. We’re also very impatient. We only give a Party 4 years to fix problems even if it’s the corporations or other nations that are causing those problems.

As a regular viewer (and yes, subscriber) of this podcast-and as an American-I couldn’t help but notice the contrast in Steven’s tone between this discussion and his tense interview with Boris Johnson. The admiration for Mr. Trump’s success was presented with a lighthearted, almost admiring tone, while with Mr. Johnson, Steven had a personal edge, not holding back in conveying his negative view to the man. Perhaps it felt closer to home. To be sure, Mr. Trump can be charming and funny, but usually only when interviewed by those inclined to see him that way. For interviewers who dare to challenge him, as Steven did with Mr. Johnson, the result would be indignation with a stormy exit.

It is profoundly difficult to feel protective of a system that actively and aggressively hates you for a characterisitic you have no control over. Its interesting how two people can watch the same thing and have vastly different reactions to it as well. That story of not taking money from a venture capital because all of their partners were men is problematic especially if that is the 'only' reason you refused their money.

“I hate the men need to support abortion so he can have more meaningless sex” argument. Is he saying men shouldn’t care about having and raising babies? We don’t need to encourage the hookup culture. Commitment and family is what young men want - not random hookup and abortion as back up option.
@e.a.miller650316 күн бұрын
The hookup culture is here to stay wether you like it or not. Commitment and family is not on the “must do” list of everyone. The number of childfree people in America is roughly 1 in 4 choose to be childfree.
@incelslayerrrr859715 күн бұрын
Men created hook up culture and it blew up in their faces because women do it better with better odds. Women learned their lesson in the 90s and men refused to advance socially and economically thinking they could just show up and that be enough to get women. Women woke up and reallzed how much this has not worked and men canceled themselves out and being left behind. Women arent buying the bare minimum any more and its not worth it to deal with men. Men caused this and now theyre mad at their own system. We dont feel sorry for men. It would benefit everyone if their suicide rates increased and they stopped damaging the world and women because of their deficiencies.

I'm so surprised how people in these comments can't listen to a conversation and correctly interpret what was said. No, he didn't say that. In fact, he said that the best thing in his life, his children and his wife, came from his desire to have sex. So as a man, it is OK to be interested in having sex with someone and take a risk at being rejected; instead of using porn or just stop trying because you feel outmatched. And women are more likely to have sex with you if they have right over their own bodies. Nothing he says should be controversial, especially not if you are a progressive woman. It is only controversial to you if you believe men should shallow in their own pity, be lonely forever and women should not be allowed to have an abortion. It's so weird how many people miss his point entirely; no wonder Trump won. This dude was laying the pavement for both men and women to be happy, and ya'll go: NO! FUCK THAT! PLEASE GO TO THE OTHER SIDE INSTEAD! Well, people listened to you. More men voted for Trump. Well done, you're ignorantly speaking against yourself.

I’m not a young man (52years). I’ve been in one relationship since I was 21. I have 2 kids aged 16 and 17.5 years … and … my girlfriend when I was 19 had an abortion (which I supported). I was too young & sex ed didn’t exist in Sputh Africa in the 80s … so maybe it’s not one or the other. Legalizing abortion doesn’t encourage hookup culture (unless you have evidence to prove me wrong ?)

It's often overlooked that people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, whether Black, White, Asian, or Hispanic, share many similarities. Similarly, those who are economically affluent, regardless of race, also share common traits. Yet, discussions frequently focus on racial differences. It would be beneficial to recognize these similarities and extend support to all groups in need. Politically, I'm conservative but I'm completely Trumped out.
