What is so different with Scott vs other wrestlers that tell stories, is that Scott hardly ever takes credit for something. He always gives props to whom he learned it from, who taught him, or how he took something and made it his own while still giving credit. It’s so refreshing to hear someone who was in the industry and yet was so humble to put over everyone that helped him get what he had. So sad we lost him and all the stories he hadn’t yet told. RIP.
@ShadowAngel-lt8nw3 ай бұрын
He wrongfully takes credit for coming up with the Crow Gimmick for Sting, when it was actually Andre Freitas (from AFX Digital, who created pretty much all outfits, entrances (like Glacier), produced some of the videos and came up with quite a few gimmicks) who presented the idea to begin with and then designed the outfit

It is so sad he did not take better care of himself. Can you imagine how big of a Podcast Hall would have had. He can just tell stories. Life takes no prisoners. I told story he worked out at same gym I did. I was like 17 years old, and this was a gritty gym of monsters. I was a monster in the making. Scott would come in and be honest he was quite, I never new he was a story teller like this. He talked to me as a young man and just another guy at the gym. I was pretty strong for a 17 year old with like 295 or 315 pounds on the bench. It was still near my max and he spotted me when I asked him He was like no problem and racked it for me. I knew about his incident with the shooting and my brother who was a badass at the time told me he thought he never got over it. Side note, my brother could be a jerk and only 215 lbs, but had huge 20” arms and known as a fighter. There are just nasty people who people are scared of and he was one of them. No doubt Scott knew who he was and never wanted beef with him and that might have been why he was so cool with me. Boy Orlando back in the day with Rosie O Gardy’s saloon in downtown Orlando had epic bar fights and my brother was known as a bull. Someone have to write a book about those days. It was crazy times.

It’s great to listen to Scott talk about his time in wrestling. He was always one of my favorites, it’s a shame when I hear stories from guys like Scott talk about the “territory days”, how they broke in the business, how tough the times were but also how fun and great the experience was. The traveling, wrestling with stars before they were even big names and just getting that experience under their belts, the road stories. It’s a shame that people can’t have the same experiences in today’s time with the wrestling business. McMahon just flat out killed the wrestling territories. It’ll never be like it was in the 70s-80s for anyone trying to break into wrestling. It’s just a shame. RIP Scott Hall

Scott was so cool because coming out with hogan, nash, bischoff, macho in the nitro days, he arguably could have been the top guy but instead chose to surf walk out and make himself "smaller." When he didn't have to. It's almost like as if Austin in 96/97, instead of chasing world title, decided to join dx or something. It's like shawn would've been the guy that the company wanted, but everyone would've secretly been watching austin in the background. I know it's not exactly that situation but it kind of is. Hall was like Brad Pitt in ocean's 11. Like, the movie clearly has george Clooney as the main character, but everyone's secretly looking at someone else more

Thank you for uploading this, it's been years since I've seen it and watched it all the way through and tried to really appreciate it as a time capsule. I'm a big Scott Hall fan (or should I say mark, in honour of the bad guy) and was heart warming especially at the end. Seeing that raw emotive reaction to Chris Benoit. Also hearing him say he doesn't want to rip the fans off. I appreciate it's part of the business to pay but the way he approaches it as interaction being more important than the finance was too sweet

When he came back to TNA during the Hogan era, I was so stoked to see him back and such a big fan that I started doing the surf walk at school when I’d walk into class to make my friends laugh. They didn’t get the reference but it was a good time. Scott is a good example of even bad things can happen to, and get ahold of good dudes. Seems like a lot of people don’t know but he relapsed before he did and was drinking again. It’s not a knock, I’ve had trouble with alcohol abuse myself. Moral is, take care of yourself and if you need to talk, reach out to someone. RIP to the Bad Guy 🤘
