I fell in love with the man who turned me onto Scott Matthews music. I called him My Kangaroo because he was unique, bad ass, could kick ass if he needed to, but he wouldn't want to, and he held his family close. He held me close while I was with him, which wasn't long enough. My heart broke when he needed to carry on finding his freedom. Fortunately, I had all this music to cry out my aching heart along with. When someone sends your heart to the High Heavens, it's a very long fall to hit the bottom of what feels like Hell.

Oh so true...spoken by someone who has been up there and then fallen into that seemingly bottomless pit. It's funny how Scott's songs stir similar emotions and reactions in people. I heard Elusive for the first time couple of days ago, and my eyes got sore immediately, still struggling with the aftermath of a break up 2 yrs. ago. I guess it's not the best kind of music to listen to when you're trying to heal, for its melancholic harmonies also seem to have a tendency of getting you back into that aching mood. But it's so damn beautiful...cannot resist to drill my ears with it again and again. ;-) Life goes on. All the best for you.
