I got emotional watching his heartfelt reminiscence about Mike and Rick, you can hear the bond and the love he had with those guys, it was so bittersweet... Scott seems like a really humble, good dude.

Scott Norton is a heck of a guy. A real man’s man. Also, notice no one ever has a bad word to say about Rick Rude. Sounds like he really was a helluva guy.

I have always been a huge fan of Scott Norton. Since back in the WCW days. The Monday night wars. And I grew up in Minnesota and still live here. I just found out in the past year that he grew up and is from here. I knew there was something about him back then. I was right. Hes a Minnesota boy like myself. That was the connection. Anogher cool thing. I was bored one Saturday and watching old AWA shows. More towards there end of days. And old Scott Norton c.e waking to the AWA ring. And what a great promotion for so many years. They very easily if they were run the right way. Coukd have been the one if the big 3 to do the national expansion first and would ha e won easily. If they just had the right guy running it. They already had the start to a great crew of wrestlers and managers. In 83 with hulk Hogan. Thats where hulkamania started. He started there. You can see him doing the hulkamania rants in 82 and 83 in AWA TV. Ok the wwf got all of there big talent from the AWA to start there Expansion. So anyways. For the AWA TV interviews to interview the Rastlers we had mean Gene oakerland. And Bobby the brain 🧠 Hannan as manager for the bad guys. The Iron Shiek was a AWA guy. Jesse the body Ventura, Sgt.Slaughter, Mr.Perfect Curt Henning, Ricky Steamboat, Rick Flair who got trained at the AWA training facility which was a barn. And trained by Vern. Had his 1st match or 3 ever in the AWA then left shortly after. He was a Minnesota boy and wanted out and to do it on his own. The road warriors animal and hawk both Minnesota boys, Shawn michaels and Marty gennety got there big break in the AWA, Nick Bockwinkel, mad dog vachon. LEGION OF DOOM, the crusher he was a riot, baron von Raschke. Larry the Ax Henning. And soooo many more. And Land mass wise, the AWA by far had the biggest territory from Minnesota to Chicago down to Colorado and and out west to Vegas and and parts of California amd Missouri Minnesota Wisconsin in the dakotas and Iowa... so the AWA was HUGE. AND ON NATIONAL TV on ESPN.. all they needed was someone new to run it with a vision. And they would have taken over.. and they had that guy right under there nose and didn't know it. They gave this young guy a shot. He later ran another wrestling company and almost put Vince out of business.. another Minnesota boy. Yes Minnesota used to be a hot bed for talent for pro wrestling. A young man by the name if Eric Bischoff... he got a job there learned tv and producing. Then got kn the mic and took mean gene's old roll until the AWA went out of business. But he got his start there. Curt Henning won his first title in the AWA WHEN THEY WERE STILL DOJNG GOOD. The WWF want Curt tk come work for them. The AWA WANTES CURT to stay. So curt told the AWA he would stay fkr abywar if they made him AWA world heavy weight Champion and I believe 1 million dollars for thatvyear and title. They agreed. . Curt in a barn burner of a kickass match defeated Nick Bockwinkle for the heavy weight Championship. It was a great match. It took him a couple tries to win the belt. So qhen he finally did. It made the victory a huge deal. And when he won. CURT was a good guy. I know hard to think. But thats how he started out as a face or good guy. Which made the match even better. Because he won with pure skill heel wrestle them in one fair and square there was no cheating. He turned heel a couple months later any state a heel for the rest of his career

Norton has always been one of my favorites. One of the original, legit badasses in wrestling. I can’t imagine having to lock hands with a monster like that in an arm wrestling tournament. He could tear most people’s arms completely off 😂 Also, is it just me or does the guy in the background seem like he’s creeping around hitting the pipe the entire interview? 👀 🤦🏼‍♂️

Hannibal have u ever looked into interviewing jimmy hart he's gotta be like 80 now maybe u could get him another is hulk hogan but he would prob act like he's to busy another a couple I was thinking of was stan lane, bobby eaton,Jim duggen or jessie ventura or dean malenko there's also david crockett I know fans would have slot of questions on behind scenes in nwa before n after crockett soled to turner and last would be bill watts who fans would like also watts may not be around alot longer neither I wish hannibal you could arrange to get two or three or four wrestlers, front office people from wrestling territories from past on one 2hr roundtable type shoot were u could hear these guys answer good question s and here them talk about there territories back in day

@@ronmailloux8655 lmao Scott Norton was one of the most popular wrestlers in Japan, over just as much as any top Japanese wrestler...and that says A LOT. His style was suited for Japan. And it's WCW not WcW.
