And Jim, while supported by Helen, was fundamentally a single father trying to keep four kids in line, though Paul and Julie were 20-odd but still living at home.

It was a big shock in the UK and Ireland when it was revealed Jason Donovan wasn't the original Scott ,This series was huge in the UK Ireland and other nations in the late 80's, It was first aired around 87-8 in the UK@Ire and everyone used to run in at half one in the day and watch it. They all lead such a clean life ,none smoked or drank but it was good .

Neighbours Nerd. It aired in the UK around 88 ,Darius wasn't in it Jason was so and all the girls loved him so when they were told he wasn't the original Scott they thought it was a joke ,they were more surprised than shocked ,so i take the shocked back. It was a big hit for about 3 yrs then when both Jason and Kylie left it wasn't as popular.

Neighbours was first broadcast on BBC 1 on 27 October 1986, starting from the very first episode, with the Radio Times synopsis mentioning Des being jilted on his wedding day and Danny having recurring nightmares. Radio Times included a full cast list for the first week, which lists Darius as Scott, as well as Jenny Young as Kim Taylor.

Wim Lammens.I didn't know that , I thought it was 87 or 88 it was first aired, But thank you for that, When i started to watch it ,Jason Donovan was in it when i first watched it but I honestly can't recall the exact date I Cant remember Darius being in it when i first saw it. So Kim had two white parents, which I guess means she was adopted... she must have later discovered the Tanaka family.

Kim is actually the biological daughter of Marcia Taylor, but her biological father was not Neil Taylor, her mother had an affair with a Japanese man and Kim was the product of that affair, so Kim is actually half Japanese. After Kim was born Neil adopted her and that's why she took the Taylor name, so Neil was her adopted father or stepfather. After Kim's sons with Paul were born she later married another Japanese man called Tanaka and she changed her name to Kim Tanaka, her twin boys also took her husband's (their stepfather) name.
