Nice brother! Just got my Scott Speedster Gravel 40. Bought the Hunt race aluminium wheels, with Pirelli Cinturato Gravel 700 x 45 tubless tires, My speedster has GRX components. Enjoy brother!!

Nice setup! They are great bikes for sure. I recently bought a pair of continental 5000 32mm to wrap on the carbon hunts. Going to eventually get a wheelset for gravel tires.

Nice bike, What size is this and how tall are you? I have my eye on a used Gravel 40 but unsure on the sizing on these? thanks

Thanks! This is a 54 M and I’m 5’9” (about 175cm). Comfortable but I did have to swap out for a shorter stem. Definitely go to a shop to test the fit if you can because I had a 54 Trek and they feel different.

Yea a test just in case because if your style isn’t stretched it can be uncomfortable. But I’ve had no problems with this bike! I thought I would be salty not having a carbon frame but I’m doing just fine.

I seriously thought that you had a GRX groupset on your bike. Learning that you have tiagra is suprising. I am not knocking it at all. Your bike is your bike. But that might explain the clicking that you referenced in your last video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnTRaHVmfNutqs0 Moving from the Syncros wheels to the carbon hunt wheels was a great choice. There is not enough said about the vibration absorbing of carbon fibre. On the long days in the saddle you can have more energy, to push on than you will on aluminum wheels. I have to disagree with you on the tire choice. When riding on asphalt or tarmac, the file tread on the tires do indeed slow me down, causing me to work harder than I would on some slick road tires. If you are only doing something like bike and beers, those should be fine. If your racing on dirt, mud, tank trails or gravel, you will have an advantage. On big rocks like you would see in unbound or the BWR ride, you might want to look in to a tire with a little more of a bite. Again your bike is your bike. On my bike I had to change out the seat post. I changed it for a post that only had one bolt to secure the saddle. That made making adjustments much easier. The wheels, Carbon is probably the biggest upgrade that you can get. Again your bike is your bike. I would ask that someone explain to you why your bike came with Tiagra as opposed to GRX. After looking in to it a bite I think I found the mistake. The Scott Speedster 40 came from Scott with Tiagra where my Scott Speedster 30 came with GRX. You can find your bike in Scotts catalog here celum.ssg-service.com/smartViews/view?view=scott-b2c-catalogs-archives under 2021 bike catalog and look for the 2021 ECO General Digitial Version EN (For english). Sorry for the confusion.

Yea I got a year older model when I purchased because at the time it was so hard to find a bike in the size and color way I wanted. I believe the 30 has the better group set as you mentioned. I’m definitely swapping the tires this season. Last year I was mostly doing solo rides but I did do 3 events where I felt the drag on the road. Appreciate the feedback for sure though!
