This album released 6 weeks before I went to Marine Corps boot camp in 97. Not being able to hear any of the singles outside of this one while there, the first thing I bought after I graduated was this CD. It got me through that 1st year and this particular song was pure irony! You count the next 2 albums and you can say Creed served right alongside me. Forever thankful for your music... hearing takes me back 25 years, and that's why music is timeless.

@@sean8470 oh for sure I'm one of those millions of fans people would probably freak out if they got back together, but I know Tremonti has probably a big grudge against him because they had the world at their fingertips at one point but I also believe the band is together as one.. they all have equal parts but people look at the vocalist as the whole band and that puts a lot of pressure on all these great frontman that have either vanished into the dark or died sadly.... I mean a lot of great bands are coming back to tour! That would be really awesome if they did as well!! Also i heard that Tom from Blink 182 was thinking about coming back after Mark's cancer scare.. They got together recently and talked about things and hinted towards something but we just gotta wait and see... There is a lot of bands that I would pay great money to see!! I know I'm not the only one!! I mean look at Tool for example they came at back out of nowhere and are kicking ass.. I mean hell the B-52's are going back on tour, Kiss is still touring and Journey Metallica Megadeath dudes and girls on theirn60s and 70 STILL performing great shows... BUT I JUST LOVE CONCERTS AND WITH HOW THE WORLD IS TODAY WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER MORE THEN EVER YA KNOW?

@beanie10892 жыл бұрын
He sounds great! Will always have a spot in my musical heart for there first three records. That baritone, when he's on, it's powerful. After Creed came so many voices with 'base-itus.' Stapp's was natural. A rock voice with a southern hint. Kinda cool here how he sounds like he's gained more treble in his tone. It less rounded at times and more shrill, like what he did when he was younger and sang Ode live.
@beanie10892 жыл бұрын
@Jedimaster420 I used to think the same thing til I started covering both. They've different vocal styles. Eddie certainly relaxes his voice much more, and his vocal frying is kept at a minimum because of this vibrato he gives with that rich baritone. I certainly think Eddie is better and has more range. His vocals also honestly get warmer and more endearing with age. Scott most definitely strains his voice to hit the higher registers, which has given him significant issues. When he released his first solo album, those initial live performances where he kept his vocals from shredding, they sound just fine. I think he also has a certain twang, near to a country music singer at times, but it gets cut right before it's too apparent, which is kinda cool. I think a perfect marriage of those two is Seven Mary Three's Jason Ross. Look up his cover of 'That's How Strong My Love Is.' But yeah. Just from being in love with those groups and tat sound for twenty years, wanted to give a thorough response. Youre welcome to hold your take though! No worries.

Glad he gave Mark Tremonti some credit. For me as a fan of Creed/Tremonti/Stapp/Alter Bridge/Etc since 97’ it sucks that one of the best song writing duos (Tremonti-Stapp) of that era fell apart at the height of their success due to ego and political bullshit. What really sucks the most is that they probably had at least 2-4 more Human Clay or My Own Prison level of albums in them but it is what it is. Loved their live shows so much back then!
