So proud of you Scott in your journey! Also, THANK YOU for not being scared in letting others know and in our your disgnosis. Its so important in our society that we make words like bipolar, ptsd, and so many other ones a common thing to talk about. The more we break the stigma the more people we can reach that might be suffering in silence. ❤️

so so happy that you are on your road to recovery -- how I wish other guys who opted to take their lives received this type of love, understanding and support. I am so happy that in this interview, spiritual aspects are acknowledged to be vital in recovery.

Bipolar causes panic attacks and depression. All of these things can start in childhood. See his life story and you will understand. BTW, how many of you making these negative comments were thrust into the spotlight in your early 20’s ??? If you weren’t, you have nothing educated to say.

There is a forgotten demographic in the country and I think Creed’s music reached them (in the 90’s and now) and I’m certain prevented millions of suicides. On a more personal level I worked for Wind-Up Records in 2000, and when Alan Meltzer, the founder of the label was alive, he would be so proud of Scott & his boys he’d be in tears. I miss you Alan. And Scott you’re amazing.

Bipolar is a questionable thing. What happened to him can very easily be explained by the massive amounts of drugs and alcohol he was taking, in combination, for years. When you are that strung out, you can get totally detached from reality. If he is totally, 100% long term sober and still having issues, ok. But until that is cleared out, I don’t think psychiatric diagnosis is even possible. When he’s sober, he seems totally normal.

Yeah, I had a hard time with similar thoughts about them too. Ultimately, it's their business...but from the outside, it looks pretty sucky that she checked out of their marriage when she did. Only they know what it looks like from the inside. As a long time Creed & Scott Stapp fan, I'd just like to see the guy keep it right with the Lord, and his life in order permanently.

Big fan of Scott and Creed! With all of the extreme delusions, hallucinations, and paranoia that Scott exhibited in his behavior this definitely sounds more like schizophrenia than bipolar. I think society is less judgmental when you tell them you are bipolar versus schizophrenic. When people think of schizophrenics they think of the ultimate insane person in a white straight jacket chained to a wall somewhere. It was probably in the best interest of public relations for Scott and Creed to maintain a certain image for the fan base. I have bipolar and some of the symptoms do overlap, but the extreme nature of his hallucinations with paranoia is definitely advanced schizophrenia, hard to believe he has a doctor on here passing this off as bipolar, anyone with any education in this field would question this diagnosis.

Dude that’s not someone genuinely “asking for help”. That’s called “stimulant psychosis” and presents similarly to Paranoid schizophrenia. He wasn’t thinking of his wife, he was too worried about the helicopter that’s been chasing him for 7 weeks and mind reading squirrel in the tree across the street. The only remarkable thing is that he stayed sober once they took off his restraints.

He got so lucky with a wife who could easily have left him but all the s*** that he put it through and the family. I'm guessing she was a true believer in God and their relationship shows you you can turn stuff around. But they still never said what was the core of what causes it most of the time it's either genetic or a combination of genetic and environmental the way you were brought up. Would benefit people if they actually said.

Biofilm infections cause chest pain and plaque? And 1 day on a psych facility can cost YOU tax payers minimum $1,500 a day per patient even if they have private insurance the insurance company forwards the bill to Medicaid/Medicare under Welfare. Now to see how much in kickbacks his Charity raises for his performance if that was the case?
