From the 1972 film adaptation of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", originally sung by Fiona Fullerton over the end credits. Written by John Barry and Don Black. Taken from the album "Any Day Now" (1973).

With a voice like that, it's also okay for him to sing the shopping list. Thank you Scott and rest in peace )i(

I can't believe how beautiful his singing voice was. He was the male Karen Carpenter.

🎹 I just discovered this magnificent voice last month. His phrasing... his breath control... the delivery... I have never heard anything like Scott Walker before and I am totally blown away by this man. Beyond Sinatra... beyond Jack Jones... even beyond Tony Bennett! Plus that boyishly beautiful face of his. It's unearthly!

Great to hear he has reached new audience, I've been a fan fron outset of Walker Bros. Should also mention John Maus who had a beautiful voice but so overshadowed by amazing Scott ❤❤❤❤

That´s irony: Today a new song´s playing, but actually it´s the old Johann Sebastian, being cited from "Ich hatte viel Bekümmernis" after 2:25.

Did he sing this in the film 'A moment In Time', because this music is from that film, John Barry did the score for?.
@guida-walker-channel Жыл бұрын
I think you mean "Somewhere In Time"... and no, he did not sing this in that film, he recorded the song for his 1973 album "Any Day Now". The original version is from the 1972 adaptation of "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" and was sung by Fiona Fullerton. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z52kYqFrm9t7Z9U

Shame Scott never sung a Bond theme.
@theidiotsocietymusic Жыл бұрын
He did do one but it was turned down (link below). It is included on the soundtrack however. I am surprised that he wasn't considered in the 70's to do a Bond collaboration with Barry. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHTXaWCBfqmGf80si=e8H0tBTtZXI6xKqW

Scott once recorded the main theme from 'Deadlier Than The Male', a crime+mystery movie, but Very James Bond-ish. It's one of my favorite Walker Brothers recordings
