He had been signed with one of my favorite labels from the 80’s who’d signed a number of my favorite Goth artists, 4AD Label had signed Scott Walker before he had passed away. This is my understanding, anyway. He was a phenomenal musician and artist ❤❤❤

Scott has a beautiful voice and I love most everything he does in the easy listening style. But you are right. The singing is great and the music and the song is great however, the musical arrangement is very bad. I first heard this song sung when I was a kid by Jim nabors. The musical arrangement was great and the young Jim nabors voice was so very powerful and inspiring. He pretty much owns this song. I feel sure that scott would have been great with a powerful and inspirational arrangement. He did great considering the lacklustering poor arrangement.🤔🤗
