A1111 is nice when you just wanna turn your brain off and just mess around but once you get bored with A1111 or want to have any real control over your generated images, CUI is where you wanna be. I've only been using it for a few weeks but basically now only found myself using it for quick discord memes or an img2img of a friend's cat or something 😂

I haven't tried comfy, but what I'm currently worrying is that a lot of the really good extensions from a1111 just don't exist in comfy. Like DynamicPrompts, ADetailer, TiledDiffusion, CustomUpscalers, NeutralPrompt, RegionalPrompter. Even stuff like PNG Info is extremly helpful.
@theaudiocrat
@theaudiocrat Жыл бұрын
@@NorthgateLP lol literally all those things are obviated by comfyui, possibly the only thing you mentioned which isnt in CUI is adetailer, but the thing is because of the way you can use workflows to do coherent upscaling it almost makes it a moot point. That and the fact that you can use loras in a more "targeted" way without having it affect the whole picture it makes bad faces a thing of the past

Things I love about ComfyUI is it makes me better understand what is running and what it looks like when you generate an image. Not just blindly clicking around without knowing much about how things work and twist around.

Your "double heads and extra arms, that's not a problem with negative prompt" comment is priceless. People seem to expect that negative prompts fix every single problem, so they keep adding more and more negative embeddings, which in many cases result in an output image that corrupts the base model. I was adding tons of negative embeddings with the idea that they could only generate great images, but the result was constantly messed up eyes and details, and I was wrongly blaming the base model for that. Now I never use more than 3 negative embeddings, one of them being always the bad hands one, and the others are applied with lower strengths like 0.5 to 0.7, which results in a remarkable improvement that doesn't destroy the base model. A tutorial on negative embeddings would be urgently required.

Using comfy as an a1111 extension is more absurd than building a swimming pool in the bottom of the ocean. Simply learn comfy and forget about auto. I guarantee that comfy does not have any of the memory issues from auto1111, unless you add an extreme amount of loras and complexity.

Coming from Blender - where materials and now even geometry are managed with nodes - this has a familiar feel to it, sort-of. Coming from A1111, this already looks so much more powerful. This may just be my imagination but TBH, my GPU seems to be saying thankyou, as it doesn't have to spin the fans so hard to get the same results. Well explained: looking forward to possibly a deep dive into how to make this thing really fly.

Really great video! I recently discovered what you can do with ai image generators and I'm obsessed. I'm spending a lot of time these days on civitai and whatnot just to look at what people do with different models, because all I have is a CPU. Can't afford a GPU. I've installed ComfyUI and played with the nodes already, but generating a 512x512 image takes about 10 minutes. That is, with default settings. Will watch the other episodes and wait for the times where a CPU will run models just like GPUs do.

A1111 has its place for those that just want to prompt to win. But, for those of us that really want to get our hands into the mix, this is an amazing alternative for sure.

Hi thanks for such detailed video tutorials.I have a question. At 7:20 you connect from the "checkpoint" node "VAE" to the "VAE Decode" node, but then at 13:40 you connect the "Ksampler Advanced" to the "VAE Decode" as well, thus disconnecting the original connection. I have a question "VAE" from the node "Checkpoint" will still be connected? Through other connections, even without connection? Or is it disconnected? And if it works without plugging it in why plug it in? Or is it that in a simple connection it is necessary to connect, but in a more complex connection it works automatically?

Ok, I just dragged an image I made into the interface, and the nodes updated!! Thats wild.

It's pretty great! A1111 is still pretty good, but it isn't a single step.

I just learned something new in a introduction video of comfyui lol. I've been using it for quite some time, playing with controlnet and multiple loras but I've never knew how to use Ksampler Advanced and Primitive... Thanks!

Thank GOD for you! Clear and understandable without a bunch of gibber jabber. Can you do something with video and transforming media? Example: Say I take a picture of a train, but I want to turn that picture into a futuristic star wars train. So ComfyUI is taking a provided image or video and transforming/modifying/editing it to look like the descriptions in my prompt.

What's the minimum hardware requirement for this tool to be of any use? (e.g. should not take forever to generate one image). Scott, what is your hardware setup?

@@sedetweiler I actually do have a question for you. Is there anyway to remotely connect to an instance on compfyui running on my home PC? in automatic1111 all I had to do was add --share --gradio-auth someUsername:somePassword to the bat file and it worked.

You can actually run comfy in a tab in auto1111 if you need something like that right now.
