... More "just another day a the job." See "blood the last vampire" (the 45 min anime). That is when dark and gritty is good. The start is like "WTF just happened" and the ending is not a Solomon Kane "boss" battle. Hope you get what I mean. Van Helsing is just like Blade 3 Trinity. And Blade 2 is what is should have been.

I really wanna like this movie, it's just too silly. Stupid one liners, teenage humor. I think the problem with these movies is that I dosen't seem dangerous for the heros. They just storm in with silly liners "now that I got you attention". The 2nd problem is that they ALWAYS try to make it worse than the 1st one. If people want a 2nd then they want more of the same. It should be more realistic...
