Rest assured, after I found your channel, my OBS knowledge has increased 10-fold. I can’t thank you enough for being willing to share this information. I’m a federal video professional who works with a Tricaster 8000 and I cannot believe how much of what the Tricaster does that I can also do with a free piece of software. And some stuff my Tricaster cannot do-at least as easily.

enjoying the videos... wish you would have walked us through your space scene transition as the example because it looks like there are considerations to be aware of, like where you store your image off screen, do the multiple transitions within the transition happen independently with independently controlled variables and such... i suppose that will come down to m doing some of that experimenting you spoke about... i am new to all this and move-transition is gonna be a game changer for sure!

Hey Scott, Just spent several hours at my church creating a some what extensive scene with the Move Transitions plugin. Initially used two sources, an NDI capture and a Video Capture. Filters were placed on the scene with the sources. Two Move filters moved the NDI Source diagonally in from the top-left corner when the scene/filter became active in the mix, the other reset the source off the same corner when the scene became inactive. Two more moves brought the Video Capture in from the lower-right and reset it off that corner. Played switching between that and a static Video Capture source scene for hours adjusting timings. Then I added a Text(GDI+) Source and moved it with two filters sliding in from off the left side of the frame and resetting the source position. After playing with timings on that addition for a while, OBS would refuse to close, a few times, and had to be closed by Windows. Perhaps Exeldro might like to have this information. Do move filters need deactivation at the end of a move? Not indicting the plugin. There's enough instability in Windows to go around.
@ScottFichter2 жыл бұрын
Hello TheOrignl, I pray that you did not fall for the hype and upgrade to Windows 11. Did you?
@theorignl44152 жыл бұрын
@@ScottFichter LOL My gosh NO! This was on Windows 10, not sure the edition or build. I can get back to you if you think the problem could reside with Move Transitions. I also noted as I went to shutdown from the session, Windows had downloaded updates ready for install. That stage in automatic update more times than not causes instability for installed programs.
@ScottFichter2 жыл бұрын
@@theorignl4415 Hmmmm... Short of remoting into your computer I'm not sure how to resolve this issue.
@theorignl44152 жыл бұрын
@@ScottFichter That's ok. I got a feeling the glitch was a "Windowism". I've been playing for day with Move Transitions video, image and Text sources with no such reoccurrence. Anyway, determined that for my purpose all sources needed to moved around a single scene via filters. Got all that done. Now I'm looking for a transition trigger based on an image that occurs in a given source. Sort of like Advanced Scene Switcher for transitions.
@theorignl44152 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott, Just an update. I found that I was putting to much emphasis on Move Transitions in neglect of all the other functionality of OBS. Move Transitions is a great enhancement to OBS! When I broke the movements up into logical scenes and let OBS's built-in functionality take care of elements/sources that didn't necessarily benefit from the movements every worked our very smoothly.
