DGB was the biggest commitment in school history and changed the Mizzou program as they headed into the SEC, 2021 WR Luther Burden is the same type of player and will change the tenure of Eliah Drinkwitz, lets talk about it, enjoy!

Sheldon Richardson - did not qualify out of high school, played 1 year on a team decimated by injuries (specifically on the o-line) and went 5-7 Tony Van Zant - Injuries Blaine Gabbert - Was alright, but didn't live up to the hype. Did the patented Gabbert duck-and-run at the first whiff of pressure.

Would love to see mizzou bring back Dave Steckel and Craig Kuligowski. Keep the dbacks coach and the new Dline coach. Steckel handles the linebackers, Kuligowski handles the edge rushers. Those guys developed some very good players with less talent.
@MizzouAntler
@MizzouAntler 2 жыл бұрын
Never, in a million years, will Kuligowski ever, for any reason, be brought back to Mizzou... Ever... For any reason. Dude sent copies of the playbook to future opponents on his way out. People keep bringing up his name, but it will never happen.

@John Barkley Got the last laugh how? By trying to sabotage all of his own players and colleagues to spite Odom on his way out? I don't know how burning a bunch of bridges over a personal vendetta is getting the last laugh. I'm no Odom sympathizer either, but based on their current positions and career prospects, I would say if either of them are laughing, it's Odom.
@MizzouAntler
@MizzouAntler 2 жыл бұрын
@John Barkley I don't know what Odom failing as a head coach has to do with Kul "getting the last laugh." Kul has never been given a d coordinator position at a power conference school team for a reason. At least Odom is a competent defensive coordinator. Kul is a petty little bitch who tried to sabotage Missouri because of his own personal vendetta. He will never be hired at Mizzou and I hope he never gets another good in football again.
@MizzouAntler
@MizzouAntler 2 жыл бұрын
I never said Odom was a good head coach. I said I'm far from an Odom supporter and don't think he was a good head coach at Mizzou. I'm well aware of how bad his recruiting was. I even think the way he operated toward the end of his time at Mizzou was kinda paranoid and shitty, which is probably one of the things that got him axed. However, it doesn't hold a candle to what Kul did on his way out and doesn't change the fact that Odom is still a better defensive mind than Kul. Kul is good at developing guys with lots of raw talent into great defensive linemen and that's about it.

Bringing in the 5th best guard, and a 4* DT and are in the mix for a 4* DE for this year. Brought in two good edge rushers in last year's class, but one tore his ACL in preseason. Next year's class will be more offensive line focused. Two studs at eSTL and two more in KC.

The Future is so BRIGHT AT MIZZOU FOR THE FOOTBALL TEAM.. I have never seen a recruiting class of this qty .. There is 3-6 future NFL players in this class alone .. Luther, Sam Horn, CB Scott, and LB Simmons all have a future in the NFL I am excited about Simmons at the LB position reminds me of a young Spoon, but with the hitting of NicK Bolton and old Bolton is doing fine in the NFL he is looking every bit of the LB he was in College and he is only gonna get better ..... Andy Ried has high praise for Nick and he will be calling KC D this year as he will have the speaker in his Helmet.... Future is so bright at Missouri ... They should be within the next 2 years a 10-2, 9-3 hell even a 11-1 football team .. The Tigers are finally loading up on talented recruits and keeping high qty recruits from the Midwest states home ... Ill,Mo,Ks, You keep the kids from those 3 states at Missouri and you will be just fine recruiting and will have a ton of talent ... ill, Mo. Ks all play good high school football and there has been a ton of NFL talent come from those 3 states .. Just saying ...

Missouri also landed Dorian Green-Beckham, the #1 High School player in the country, not just #1 WR. He was supposed to be next Calvin Johnson. I honestly thought that player was the program changer and did put Mizzou on the map. No offense, Luther is nowhere near DGB.

@@joshuasimmons8160 I know that. He has two years of eligibility if he wants to claim the 2nd year in SC as a injury redshirt, but like I said he's going to NFL next year. Money in the NFL is still higher than what he got for NIL this season. He's not getting money like a Ohio State backups or Bryce Young, so going to NFL is way lucrative for him. UGA is getting Gunner Stockton next year and planning to play Brock Vandargriff.

Offense isn't really the problem for Mizzou. It's that terrible defense and based on how they're recruiting, it doesn't seem like they're addressing that area. I can see them competing for 2nd or 3rd in the SEC East in a couple of years though.

On the DGB comparison, first and most importantly, from everything I have heard, Burden has a much better head on his shoulders than DGB ever did so there is no reason for anyone to worry about that becoming an issue. I know from experience Mizzou fans are in a constant state of waiting to be kicked in the nuts though, so I get it. Football-wise though, from everyone who has seen them play, Burden isn't as big of a freak athlete as DGB was (nobody is), but he is a MUCH better football player. Runs better routes, has played against way better competition, has a much better football IQ, etc.

He made a huge mistake. Why tf would you de-commit from a perennial top 5 national prgram with top facilities and the best QB talent coming in constantly puts players in the NFL. To go to a mediocre never in the playoff conversation jus all around bad program the last 10 years. The WR position is dependent on another position and if I was him I would be going to Oklahoma, Mizzou Is trash 🗑
