At one point, Ben Sinnott was a zero star walk on recruit from Iowa, but flash forward a few years and he was just taken in the second round by the Washington Commanders. How the heck did that happen? Today, we are going to talk about the crazy journey of Ben Sinnott, his star studded Kansas State career and how he fits with Washington, enjoy!

I am going to be biased. I would love to see videos on 3 more Commanders rookies: DL Johnny Newton who was considered a steal in the 2nd round!; WR Luke McCaffrey, Ed's other son, and Christian's brother; and LB Jordan Magee, picked in the 5th round who is one of my friend's cousins! LOL! But he did receive an A+ grade from CBS Sports.

Met the dude today at a kids camp in Fort Leavenworth KS. Told him that my father passed away 2 weeks ago and my grandfather passed 10 years ago but we’ve been K State fans for 90 years including grandpa. Told him that “you embody everything that is KSU football” a walk on that makes it to the NFL. Best of luck but I was begging for the Chiefs to draft him. He said “lt was close brother, they called me and said if I was still there they were going to draft me”. If only.

Great video, very informative. But I must push back on your comment about Washington having trouble developing the TE position. We've had a generous amount of good to great TEs come through these doors. Logan Thomas was a good one when he was healthy. Jordan Reed was another one and Chris Cooley, who by the way I like comparing Sinnot to.

This kid will have a big year as a rookie. Ben Sinnott & Zack Ertz will be in with Ekalar at RB on 3rd down W/Mclairen & Dotson out wide. Or Robinson & Sinnott in the backfield on goalline offense. I can see Ben getting some goaline FB carries. He can catch as a FB as well or spread to TE or WR. I also like Robinson paired with Ekalar in the backfield as both have great hands. If Washington has a lot of QB roll out OPTION PASSES i feel Daniel's easily runs for over 1,000 yards over 17 games and maybe over 1,200 yards...lol... That spreads out a defense and has them hesitating on coverages. This kid has pass friendly recievers all around him. If this year Offensive line can be solid or at least consistanly good enough, I feel this offense will be very effective this year.

Good video but two points. 1. Washington has a completely new staff, how have they had “trouble developing tight ends”, no relation to the last era. 2. It wasn’t a reach at all. Sinnot had the best odds to be the second tight end selected. He was going second round easily, I thought he would go in the 40s or 50s. 53 was a fine spot.

Commanders issues wasn’t developing a TE. It was injuries. From Alexander, Cooley, to Reed, and Davis. All did well, but most playing time and careers cut short due to injuries. Reed being the one that got hurt the most. When playing he was a top 5 TE. All but Davis made the pro bowl while in washington.

Again - Redskins received 2 # 2 picks from that one. Also - who knows how well any of them will do. I have seen this numerous times in the past - the media hypes up someone but nobody knows how it will unfold. You can't judge a draft until at least 2-3 years later. Time will tell but at this pt pretty safe to assume that this draft will be far superior to any of the 4 drafts in the Rivera era.

I personally think Sainristil will have a better NFL career than Dejean he may not be as flashy but I think he’s the type that can be plugged right into a system and do his job day in and day out consistently and Sinnott is just icing on the cake who has a lot of upside and a chance to grow and become Jayden Daniel’s go to security blanket receiver.
