Great job, really awesome seeing you reel in and overtake obviously faster cars in the corners and get far enough ahead that they didn't pass you on the straight sections.

That's one potent Spitfire and some great driving.

Job well done. I sure miss racing, but I enjoyed it tremendously when I did it. Lord bless you and take care

Man, 51 had some juice! But he couldn't hold the corners as well as you.

Great racing. That can't be a standard Spit?

What's the power plant under the hood of that Spitfire? I'd like that for mine

1.3L in this car, twin carb conversion and some other small tuning.

Do you know the car? I'd love a bit more info about the engine. I've got a Mk3 Spit myself, not for racing but I like to dream...

IAbout 50 years ago, I had a Shitfire 4. It was built in 1964. 1.1 liter twin SU carbs. The racers would use Weber sidedrafts . I would drive it to Riverside to watch other Spitfires race in SCCA races before the CanAm event. The Triumphs were always very competitive. Those were the days.
