I think I call Scotty’s, Westies, and Cairn terriers are extremely smart dogs! I myself have mainly lived with Cairn terrier’s, and Westies. My Cairn terrier, Dougal, loved to play hide and seek with treats. We might not play for another two weeks, but when he indicated he wanted to play and I would hide the treat, the first place he would look was the last place he found the treat. He remembered all the hiding places, and would go around the room, remembering, where I had last hidden treats, even if it was months previously. Of course, I know he smelled some of the residue that may have been on the carpet, from the tree, but that’s how intelligent he was, that rather than work hard at first, he would go back and check the last places, just in case the treat was hidden there! I sure do miss that dog!

You are an amazing trainer! I love the tricks you taught them. My first one was easy to train, but my second one is just a little sweetie that likes to do her own thing.

My beautiful Bradley Morgan lost his battle to cancer this past Friday, and I have found so much comfort watching these videos. Thank you for sharing. My Mom who passed from heart and cancer issues 5 years ago this month was from Scotland, and hearing the dance number made me so happy, as it sounded like a song Mom would sing.

+Elizabeth Rados ... Our precious Scottie passed on February 29, 2016. He was almost 13 & battling Lymphoma. Thankfully, his heart just stopped before the disease progressed to the point he was in a lot of pain. He was a jewel! I too enjoy the videos. They are comforting.

The one we have now has a red rubber ball that she LOVES to bring to us to have us throw it for her. If you ignore her when she drops it at your feet, she'll start barking. Too funny!

I watched this video with my scottie, Duffy. Duffy's late Uncle Roddy was a top Obedience competitor. Duffy, however, thinks Obedience trials are for control freaks. I think he would LOVE those brain toys, however, and wonder where I could find them? Thank you so much!

@lisiswanson That is great that you will work with your scottie!! they will love it: Maybe you can try this website: spass-mit-hund. de - also a english version with ideas also without spending money, e.g. pack food in the inroll of toiletpaper. Here I found a store in the US, where you can buy the think toys: inthecompanyofdogs. com - link "dog toys and treats" - work always for a short time with lots of motivation and rewards, stop when its still very funny
