elai314 scarier is that all three can do all three things. Rodman wasn’t a scorer per say but he wasn’t a guy that would blow a layup and had a decent jump shot that was very consistent. He could make a jump shot consistently he just didn’t TAKE it consistently
@LynxStarAuto5 жыл бұрын
alp21188 Rodman did not have a jump shot sorry. He was a good finisher around the rim, and an underrated passer, and ball handler for his position, but that was it. Jump shots, and free throws were not his forte. Shawn Kemp had a jumpshot nobody remembers, and one of the best bigs at the free throw line.

Grill Buster it’s true. Rodman’s childhood was really rough. He’s was shot at, pinned up against a tree with a shotgun, dealt with constant racial slurs, neglected as someone who just wanted to be loved. All Dennis ever wanted was to fit in. And very few people ever gave him that opportunity. He’s been battling demons his entire life, so he tries his hardest to be happy. And he does that by just being free. Dennis is a very caring and loving person. He knows how it feels to not be cared about. And he wouldn’t wish that on anybody. People might look at the tattoos, piercings, clothing and colored hair as off-putting. But if you actually get to know him, he’s one of the nicest people you can meet.

I know this because in 96 The Florida Panthers had that crazy "rat pack" Cinderella season that took them all the way to The Stanley Cup Finals. I was like 12 back then, and remember Florida had a couple of feisty matches against the Capitals that season. She covered some of those games. Rachel was a spring chicken back then, and very easy to crush on. 😉 Anyway, she joined ESPN in 2004 where she did a little bit of everything. Your former Piston teammate, legend Isaiah Thomas, got emotional when he talked about the time you were having some issues while playing against the Bulls. How did you feel when you watched it? Dennis Rodman: Well, Isaiah was more as a big brother, was more as a mentor to me, than anybody. He would leave his house, his family, in the middle of the night to come take care of me. He knew that I wasn’t too bright, as far as living a life of NBA player. He took the time out, like Chuck Daly did. They took their time out to just embrace me and said, ‘Well, he’s not smart enough to understand what he’s into, what he’s going to get into.’ He’s been on my side from day one. The things I said about Larry Bird in the ’87 playoff series, he took all the heat for me, which I didn’t know then, and he pretty much saved my career at that time. I think that he feels a love for me that he knows the ups and downs I’ve been through. He just feels that I’m part of his family; his kids and his wife, they just believe in me, and he’s just been that same emotional person to me, and I respect that from him.

Even Rodman was an eccentric guy on the Bulls, he did his job superbly as a rebounder, defensive anchor and enforcer for his team that resulted in 3 championships.
@citythink5 жыл бұрын
I was in high school in those years they fought it out. MJ was my hero on the court but Rodman’s tenacity for rebounding (like Sir Charles) was an example as was Pippen’s defense. Both amazing players. I even love Rodman more for being himself in that environment.

There will likely be another Curry, Durant, Kylie, Kawhi, etc........ there will NEVER be another Dennis Rodman.

trajan hercules Gervin is 6-7, Durant is a 7footer. Durant is a way better shooter.
@ImadogGarcia5 жыл бұрын
trajan hercules Durant is close to a 7 footer, he only has declared he is 6-9 because he doesn‘t wanted to do bigman stuff. It‘s not about how many points you score in a game, it‘s about how you do it.

Is crazy to think that in those days teamates didn't even talk to each other, and sad in a way that thet can't sit together often and look back

Dennis Rodman played for the Bulls, but was a Detroit Piston at heart. What he brought to Chicago is what he learned in Detroit.
@tristanwiggs245 жыл бұрын
Brettwbeyer14 True, besides Bulls fans, those of us old enough still think of Dennis as a Piston first

so similar to AB to the Patriots situation. The only team that could handle the guy and put him in his place

Shaq had a post on IG not too long ago with him, Kareem, Magic, Kobe, and LBJ on the Lakers asking who could beat his team. One of the lineups I picked was Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Dennis Rodman from the Spurs.

Very cool that Rodman paid homage to Scottie. Calling MJ and Scottie the greatest 1-2 combo of all time. I would agree with that as well. 6-0 in the NBA Finals together is all that needs to be said. They never lost a championship together. Amazing!!!!!

I understand why. Rodman tried to injure Pippen in the 1991 playoffs. And told Pippen "we don't want that fa***t sh*t here"

Wait what?
@mars2b5 жыл бұрын
@@JJJ20999 yep it's true. Look it up. In game 3 he pushed Pippen in the back while he was in the air for a layup. And Rodman screamed it at him while he was on the floor. A lot of the Pistons called Pippen "soft" to put it mildly

Dennis is right. Scottie never brought any drama. Could score the ball anyway he wanted, could handle the ball like a point guard and could defend positions 1 through 5 and Durant & Leonard cannot do all that.
