I like the fact that no matter how much shade Scottie throws at MJ, MJ seems to refuse to retract his statement that without Scottie, he would have no championships. And MJ is right to continue to acknowledge that.

Scottie wishes MJ would call him an all star or a great basketball player. He just says a great team mate. Making Scottie to be just a good role player. That's probably the vibes Scottie gets from all of this.I mean we all know Lebron praises AD and called Kirey a future hopeful mvp.

It costs MJ nothing to praise Pippen. Even though the truth is that if Pippen played for another team, he'd have been a fringe all-star at best and would have never even been considered for the 75th team. Few players in history have benefitted more by playing next to a legend than Pippen.

Who did the bulls face that could’ve went down as the greatest team ever??? Hell, what team did mj beat for a championship that at that time in the league was breaking records as a team ??? Jordan beat teams that were nba avg at best. Yea Stockton had the assist record yet that a player record not an overall team record.. the league only had avg talents that in todays nba they. Wouldn’t be superstars only one dimensional players either great D or low post present monsters. Or great court vision but not one had all of this accept for when mj was getting his ass kicked my the bad boys pistons, and Celtics the lakers had the right pieces. But aye continue to be a puppet.

@@AH-pt5it your comment is true but cmon G, take that somewhere else. Your comment is only true for one reason because the coaches were way more restrictive and didnt allow guys to play a certain way, theirs guys that the coaches would say back then hell no your not allowed and back then the players voice was not respected.. coaches and gms were the big dawgs with all the say so.. jordan was the first nba player ever to call shots on the floor but he wasnt even powerful enough in his organization to keep them from firing phil or trading scottie... LeBron is the reason nba players have power and coaches roles are diminished now.. some players have even more power than GMs now

I completely forgot about Scottie's son passing away back in 2021. It really is sad to see the former NBA All Star and current NBA Hall of Famer who was not only an integral part of The Bulls 1990s dynasty, but also to the NBA and its storied history. He's one of the NBA's top 50 players of all time, and he accomplished a lot, on-and-off the court. Scottie made playing lockdown defense fun to watch. I'm not sure I would call Scottie the greatest all-around defensive player ever to play, as there are so many facets to playing defense, as well as attributes needed to play different styles of defense, that are dictated by the type of offensive player, the defensive player is matched up with. That said, I think you can absolutely make a case that a single player can be considered the best at one specific defensive skill, like being a shot blocker, or a defensive rebounder, etc.... In Scottie's case, I do believe that he is the best one-on-one, on-ball, perimeter defender of all time. He's the definition of the term, "lockdown defender". I hope he is able to find piece at some point.

Whatever he says is never going to destroy who he was and what he did for the Bulls. He has every right to give his opinion and or tell what he believes to be his truths. Just like you did in this video. I grew up watching the Bulls as well and have always argued that Jordan had key players around him who made everything he was able to achieve, possible. In no way does that take away from his greatness, instead it should give more glory to his teammates.

@@kdoc19961 because you have the complete story & don't want to know the truth. Mike was a spoiled brat..& huge bully he hit steve kerr in practice, & regularly bullied teamates disgused as playing around thats why horace grant left. Noone knows mike more than Pippen, in mike own doc it showed him after a gm & they were leaving the crt everything was over & pip was talking to his wife & they were going in another direction & mike pulled him away from his wife Pippen resisted & Mike pulled hard & Pip released from his wife & Pip looked mad but left with Jordan, that told me Mike was a self absorbed person. Furthermore, bottomline is Mike won or never went to the finals w/o Pippen & none after magic, (the one they won he was sick & Kareem was old & retired afterward)... So my question is why? Then I got to Kobie, literally a Mike clone after watching tons of vhs tapes his grandfather sent him while he was all over Europe with his father playing overseas..he became a clone, mannerism, fist pump etc..& he never won a ring w/o Phil! Why? B/c both were self absorbed & didn't trust their teammates. Then came Phill & tex but most importantly the triangle offense! That forced them to share the ball & they won & guess what? Its what Steve Kerr is running in GSW. So Kobie had Shaquille in 3 rings but yet yaw give them to Kobie..& Mike had Horace Grant for 3 & Dennis Rodman & Jordan's rival (albeit short & also exiled from his team Ron Harper & Pip)...harper was on Cleveland when Mike won that gm over ehlo.(& Harp had the league super agent who was mikes agent that shipped him to the west..hummm? How convenient) & then brought him back to the bulls..How do I know this..I am Mike's biggest fan! I hv 200 vhs tapes edited in realtime with my 8speed Mitsubishi recorder..I got his VHS tapes & cds..carefully chosen magazines that had more content space than pictures..I even taped gms with Hardaway, Grant Hill trying to get who wud be the next Jordan..even when I went to espn classics I was shocked how I had edited the almost 80% of the same parts of gms! Including the last dance! I couldnt believe it. So I say this to the KZbinr of this site..Jordan was unbelivable & most athletic & body control athlete ever w The Doctor. (J) (whose career is the blueprint for Mike). Lastly Mike was burned into our minds with highlights & tapes etc on his plays & all with no negativity..why...simply he was the 2nd (after Dr J) to be marketed (Dr J Converse All stars shoes) & were taken to higher level with new marketing b/c noone knew that people wud pay 200-300 $$$ for a pair of tennis shoes! & it became a billion dollar industry & still growing...so yes they will always put mike #1 for that reason, & not look at his negatives ie: all his favored treatment & losses, & outside behavior, & the 3.5-4 yrs he took off w/o injury...all omitted! But no with LBJ! They make up crap on his career. The most glaring is his ring chasing which basically him saying..(after in his 4th year & going to finals out of high school!)...saying..I'm not gonna be a Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson, Dominique Wilkens (to name a few) & be stuck & management wont give him all star teammates & waste his years..he in my opinoin w/his high bball IQ he said I can be my own coach & leader & went on to win all over the nba landscape w3 different teamates & 3diff region's & 3 diff coaches...only common denominator is LBJ...not a Coach or coaching scheme triangle..that for me says volumes & to go to 10 finals & a semi..shows who was the reason...no shaq, 1 pip (kyrie), & no Dennis Rodman, or hall of fame legends...for its LBJ & Mike or just LBJ when his entire list of accomplishments including , heights never reached by anyone...if one take an honest look you will find MJ best 10yr period but LBJ best career 20yrs & 1/2 in the finals & list of never before Accomplishments! All over the landscape. Sorry for the book.

I love Scottie Pippen and man what he was he able to do with Jordan and the Bulls winning six championships in the 90s with Jordan being the second best player on those Bulls teams going to war each and every night with blood sweat and tears and I even remember Scottie almost blew out his back in game 6 of the 98 finals but still played and when the Bulls won their 6th title Pippen had tears in his eyes that's something money can never buy and no one can tell me that all that winning wasn't some of the best times in Scottie Pippen's life I feel bad that his wife left him and all that other stuff but Scottie needs to let go of it and just cherish those memories of winning and playing alongside Jordan the greatest Bulls player in the history of the team and Phil Jackson a hall of fame coach who did an excellent job keeping that Bulls team together. Pippen really does need help

Is anyone offering him any help? People are talking about his failure and the misfortunes of his life. Should he sit and take what he is going through with his personal life and have to listen to everyone’s opinions without him fighting back. Until you walk in his shoe and been where he has, if you haven’t reached out to help, then let the man be. He needs to clear his chest, allow the man to do so. Scottie, this too shall pass. Scottie has had alot of anger and frustration brewing for a long time even since he was a kid and watching his father be ill and brother paralysed and then his break up with Larsa. Lossing his oldest son and MJ saying he was selfish in the last dance for not getting the surgery in the offseason. Seems to me like since he has been living in LA that everything has just gone out the window and he don't care about how people perceive him and wants to burn bridges with certain people he had previously in his life. Can't blame him neither as he is a human like everyone else. I think he is still a decent person and father but hope he can find peace with himself and others.

I followed the Bulls when I was a kid and played basketball but I was actually a fan of the Rockets bc of Olajuwon. His story was amazing for me. Being here in europe there was so little to follow back then other than actually watching the games that were broadcasted. It was the satellite era of sports. Warching games in the middle of the night😂. Anyway, Pipen was always the #2 man where I come from. He got a lot of recognition back then and had a lot of fans. Jordan was just a legend already and of course his popularity won't wear out as fast. Maybe Pipen thinks he should have gotten more chances to be on the spotlight and he is probably right his contribution was great. It may be inconvenient to many that he lets it out now but he is free to say whatever he wants maybe it even makes him feel better about it. I just hope that he has no regrets about his basketball carreer he did very well.

This man is a legend. He's apart of the golden children that brought modern day basketball to the spotlight and what it is today. But learning the history and legacy of The Bulls, to me I see a man always put in the shade of MJ. This man has always been in Michael's shadow in some way or form. Although he's constantly praised by MJ, seen as one the main reasons the Bulls even have championships to begin with, but I guess it's that one voice in his head always putting himself behind MJ. That constant though that everyone would always "go for Michael" and not him when he's helping carry the team. That rising jealousy that's carried since the early 80s. With Michael not fighting back or at least trying to shame him, it's hard for him to understand that there's no reason for him to keep on going and holding grudges. I hope he gets better soon bc Scottie is honestly just as legendary as everyone in the Bulls. These guys MADE basketball awesome!?!? Lets put alla this behind us

I kind of felt bad for Scottie when he first started coming out hating on MJ and the Bulls documentary. I know or heard that his wife divorced him and then his son died. That is what i heard. And Scottie in interviews looked pretty rough...like he had been drinking or maybe using drugs. Scottie was a great player. A top 50 player of all time and a Hall of Famer who helped the chicago Bulls and Jordan win 6 chips. MJ himself said that he didnt win those chips alone. That everytime you saw him celebrating a chip you saw Scottie Pippen so when you mention MJ's name you need to mention Scottie Pippens name as well. Jordan said all this and explained that is why he considers Scottie pippen to be the greatest teammate he ever had. Scottie had talent coming into the league but if you look at his play those first two seasons in chicago....especially his rookie season...he looked like a baby deer out there on the court. Lol he had to get stronger and develop his skillset and i think playing under MJ and then alongside of him in practice really helped to develop his game. Another big help to Pippin in my humble opinion was being coached by Phil Jackson. It is just sad now 30 years later that all of this animosity is popping up between these guys and they cant all just sitback and enjoy all the great accomplishments they achieved together. Lastly...how did MJ's son end up with Scotties ex wife???? 😳 dam!!!!

My first basketball memory was Bulls vs Pistons on a Sunday afternoon in 87. I had one of those indoor Minnie hoops with the little basketball you can use for target practice. I had it set up in my basement at a perfect height for a 10 year old to dunk. It was glorious. So I had the game on and played one on none mimicking the shots the pistons would take(I was a bad boys fan). I followed that rivalry right up to the playoffs where the Pistons got through to the finals where I watched my first NBA Championship. Such great memories. I was never an MJ fan, but I respected him. I feared him. Especially as I later became a Knicks fan hoped once, just once, John Starks would get the better is the battle. It never happened. 😞 At least not until 94 when MJ retired and so got to watch my Knicks blow a 3-2 series lead against the Rockets and lose game 7 in the Garden. But it all started that Sunday in my basement with my tiny hoop and ball. Great memories.

Pippen is not being fully honest with himself about himself as a player nor Jordan. He continues to criticize the last dance documentary as some romanticism for Jordan and a hit piece to speak about his personal issues when every single controversy that surrounded Jordan in his playing days was dealt with in the documentary. Hell it was exposed that Jordan could be a bit of a bully in practice and everything. Pippen is being sensitive because he didn't want any of his dirty laundry or bad decisions to come to light but he ok'd the documentary. Honestly he got more of a fair representation than he deserved considering in 1998 Jordan pretty much won that title by himself with help from Rodman and kukoc. Pippen was a no show in 98 and I think that is what's ticking him off that that was exposed. And while he is doing things for attention he is killing his credibility as a basketball analyst. We lied to ourselves for years about the impact of pippen because we love our bulls players but pippen seriously needs to chill before we really open the files on his tenure as a bulls player and expose all the 10 and 13 pt games he had while Jordan had to carry the team. We coddled pippen and gave him a pass after the migraine game, his no shows vs the magic, his chair throwing and crying because kukoc got the last shots, his .500 record he had before Jordan came back that season and saved him. If Jordan was really that selfish he would have approved several trades Krause wanted to make to send pippen elsewhere and retool the team. It's crazy after all these years of bulls fans hating Krause how right he was about the moves he wanted to make. Sometimes I seriously wish Jordan would have just teamed up with Barkley or Shaq and destroyed the league. Jordan was loyal to pippen just so his crybaby behind could burn him years later smh

@@BullsCentral I advise that you stop talking sh-t about pippen. Jordans could not win a playoff series without him. Jordans first wife also left him for another man. Pippen is still a millionaire and nothing is wrong with him.

I dont think he craves for attention. He's always talked about regardless what he says, cause he always comes up when MJ comes up or when his ex-wife who now bones MJ's son (which is just crazy). So is Scottie, who certainly will always get approached on the street or over the phone, just supposed to always say no comment? It might be the better take, but who are we to tell a grown man how to handle that.

This man is a multi millionaire and I don't understand why he's so bitter. Just live out the rest of your days in peace and have fun. If I had the money he has, no one would hear a peep from me, I'd just enjoy life.

Scottie helped to make MJ the GOAT. Plain and simple. If it weren't for his supporting play, and at times leading, the Bulls wouldn't have won all those games and championships. Scottie was a constant force on the team and court. I'm sorry to see and hear him like this. Hopefully, he'll get things turned around.

MJ still being quiet is the so nice for Pippen. MJ could destroy him if he wanted, but he’s still all class, and will never talk about another teammate like that. Shows his character….AND Pippens.

Resentment and the past are hard to let go of. Letting go, is a part of life and many are incapable of doing it. . . ever. Resentments are real and legit, but if you don't find the time and the means to get some healing, it's something that turns unhealthy. Any and all unresolved conflicts should never be swept under the rug. Understand it, accept it, forgive, let go, and practice GRATITUDE daily. It cures many ills.

Well,in myhumble opinion Pippen is probably really suffering in his personal life from recent MAJOR LIFE LOSSES and this documemtary triggered some old strife with MJ and the Bulls and so was like "the last straw." Losing his 33 year old son ,sister and then his marriage etc can make amyone go off . Hell ya, so i dont judge this Hall of famer but only hope he gets some relief SOON. Sending out blessings to him and all .📣⭐

There's no way no way we can say Scottie pippen is jealous and any type of way because Michael Jordan didn't win without him he didn't reach a finals without him couldn't win a playoff series without him we forgot Michael Jordan got swept more than once in the playoffs but we pretend to forget about all his losing seasons before came and after Scottie pippen left. All right and the things he said about Phil Jackson now it's coming out even more to be true with things Phil Jackson has said in the past and now.

The bitterness runs deep w Scottie. He recently said that he never won DPOY because the media was too focused on MJ, which is just nuts. It doesn't even add up. MJ won DPOY in '88, which is when Scottie was drafted and was still a non factor in the Bulls. His bitterness is clouding his memory and his judgment.

I always loved Scottie and his honest pure attitude and opinions towards everything. Of course Mj was greatest basketball player and still is. But think about it, Scottie being next to the greatest player still shone as Mj partner. I really think Scottie has been the most unappreciated NBA superstar ever.

The problem with being a legend today with the internet and rating obsessed TV-networks, is that you have access to it when you are down... Previous generations didn't have the power to spoil their own legacy as now, because back then, the only channels you could use to get access to the masses was TV-stations. And back then they didn't let depressed grumpy old stars on the air... All a legend need today is one depression, or one bad period in life, and like that: The legacy is spoiled.

Listen, we all suffer through low points in our lives. Clearly Scottie is not in a good place. His anger and frustrations with the Last Dance have some merit. His comments today have some truth. However, to voice these grievances they way he's doing it only diminishes his legacy. Scottie needs to understand that the public won't forget his greatness on the court. That Jordan would have no rings w/out Scottie. I hope Scotty can find some peace and enjoy his legacy as one of the greatest to play the game.

Jordan was the best player in the league. To say he would have won 0 rings without Pippen is innacurate. Unless you mean if they had removed Pippen from those 91-93 and 96-98 teams, then it could be argued. Replace Pippen for any top10 superstar at the time(Robinson,Hakeem,Malone,Barkley,Drexler,Stockton,Ewing,Wilkins,Grant Hill,Shaq) and he's winning a lot of rings.

Fact: MJ has never won a playoff series without Pippen. While Pippen took the Bulls almost to the ECF by himself, without a 2nd superstar, the year Jordan retired to play baseball. Jordan would've been a bigger and taller AI without Pippen, putting up eye popping number and scoring titles and maybe have one deep playoff run. That would've been it for his career though if he had no Pippen. Reply
