The driver was arrested. A bystander had a camera that revealed the cop fabricated a story to blame the driver for his stupidity. Charges eventually dropped. The video clearly showed the officer ran into his car, to stop him, out of angry for a perceived idea that he was being ignored! Then, to harm the reputation of a very good man, he lied about being dragged by his vehicle, likely wanting to fleece the taxpayers out of money, for injuries he didn't receive! He also may have thought he could sue Scotty, and take money he did not earn!
