The driver was arrested. A bystander had a camera that revealed the cop fabricated a story to blame the driver for his stupidity. Charges eventually dropped. If you want to look it up, the cop is Toby McLaughlin and the driver is David Wargetz

The video clearly showed the officer ran into his car, to stop him, out of angry for a perceived idea that he was being ignored! Then, to harm the reputation of a very good man, he lied about being dragged by his vehicle, likely wanting to fleece the taxpayers out of money, for injuries he didn't receive! He also may have thought he could sue Scotty, and take money he did not earn!

Awesome job of being professional by Scottie. You took it better than me buddy. Also great job at picking a lawyer. Hate to see the police take another hit, but here it is....self inflicted. We love and need you guys, but we have to put the kabash on this kind of activity. In the end, we got to the right answer, but way to hard to get there.

Perhaps the best punishment would be for the PGA to ban Louisville from tournament consideration forever! There are many other fine courses in the U.S. to choose from.

Let's not forget that Scottie was charged with 2nd degree assault of an police officer, dragging the officer 30ft. None of that happened at all, imagine if there was no video?

If it were you or me we would be screwed. Police will destroy you for no reason other than ego
