I’m starting think it’s Scottie’s unshakable temperament that’s key to his consistency. I think there are other golfers who are perhaps more talented (Rory) but who quite clearly don’t manage themselves as well as Scottie when playing.
@basedhumanofficial6 ай бұрын
i asked a local pro golfer what % of golf he feels is mental and he said "90%" 👍
@kyleconnor27596 ай бұрын
His distance control is a massive part of it too. It’s better than anyone else on tour. It can be overlooked, but it takes so much stress off of him that is on the other players. Rory, for how talented he is, isn’t consistent with his irons including distance control. This is huge. Scottie hits the right distance 97% of the time probably, no matter the conditions. He shapes shots and almost always misses in the right spot. His short game is incredible and like you said, his temperament is as well. Throw in getting his putting back and he’s very very difficult to beat. But watch his distance control going forward. It’s a thing of beauty.

Dude…leave the LIV PGA middle school stuff out of this. You can’t possibly be that tribalistic can you? These are independent contractors making tens of millions of dollars a year. They don’t really have loyalty to any tour nor should they have to.

LIV is another tour and on all the tours the players are professional, as with all careers, they seek the best renumeration and outlook for their families. Those that decided against LIV had their reasons, some have shared them others not, just as those that elected to join LIV did. There will be a meeting of the minds and common sense will prevail, otherwise there will be more high profile players join LIV. McIlroy is already making noises, having been let down by the PGA suits, he was hung out to dry, and doesn’t like it. The majors are the supreme test, and its not about party politics, as a golf supporter, player and fan, i will applaud whom ever wins
@Pud566 ай бұрын
Another benefit to LIV is that the players get their image rights back, so as Bryson has done successfully they embrace social media, his KZbin output has been great, embracing a whole new audience, growing the game. For PGA players to do the same, they need permission from the PGA, and therefore they are dipping their toes using sponsor platforms, so you had McIlroy take on Micah Morris in long driving, but effectively it was an advertisement for TaylorMade, nothing wrong with that, but it is prescribed rather than free content.
