Ripped the green filth a new one. Biggest Edinburgh derby ever in history and we trashed the wee team 1-5. Hibby mate left Hampden and 1-3 and the police would not let his coach leave early. We passed his coach on the M8 coming home and our coach was bouncing, his had drawn curtains and was like a morgue , oh the joys, tried to leave early and we bounced and partied as we passed them on the motorway.

Travelled from nothern Ireland expecting to go to game as promised ticket and let down. Watched match with my dad. Befire game ended up in bar with hibs fans in it. All saying hibs would slaughter us Haha Dad and I went home. Hes huge hibs fan I was only hearts fan out of 5 in family. 2-1 half time both thought would be tight 2nd half. 3-1 up my dad walked out loving room in disgust. Wonder if that flag at the beginning (0:02) still exists? I'm not gloating, and I was at that game, happily on the winning side (I also turned 5-1 myself a few weeks later). But football fans put their all into their team, and so do stuff like making flags, like this. As a football fan I hope the flag still exists, (and this is Hibs, but could be Aberdeen, Hearts, any team), just so the next managerial candidate can see what the fans' expectations are. As a nearly 51 year old Hearts fan, that was the best game of my life, but how let down were Hibs that day, (it really could have been 10). In a cup final there will always be a loser, same with other games, but a result (1 point is acceptable - getting beat is not a result). But players and coaches and management (and directors) should heed that flag. The fans behind it were full of belief and were let down so badly. Happens with all teams, just as my own team is underperforming so much just now, that I wonder how they won a game earlier in the season. "Its a funny old game"!

Winning the cup in 98 after waiting 42 years (while getting to finals & semi's and failing) is regarded as probably the biggest. For me 2012 is the biggest game as I was there, as for 98, I wasn't even thought of. 😂 If you ask any Jambo who was at 98, they'd probably chose it over the 5-1.
