Becky, how sweet are you taking us along to this fabulous event! I'm in the US and so envious of the UK KZbin sewing community. We don't have anything like this, at least not on the east coast, where I'm located. I follow so many of the lovely ladies I saw in your footage and of course you too! You looked amazing and I'm sorry you stressed early on about your dress/fabric choice. In the end, your instinct was on the mark. Thanks for sharing and it was great fun watching you have fun.

I am currently on my 8th pair of Iris knickers, mainly from my jersey scraps so far. I have tried 4 knicker patterns and the Iris is by far my favourite. Lovely to see you so fired up after your fabulous weekend. I haven't been to a Frocktails event, although I'd like to, it's just not possible for me to be away from home overnight atm.

Yes the US doesn’t seem to have any sewers around me either unfortunately! The fabrics are so much better looking also. There are only Joann’s around here and their fabrics are not fun at all & so much quilting cottons! 😩 ugh.

You might try your local American Sewing Guild meetings. It wasn’t until a year in I found other garment sewists, then they started showing up, so if you find a small struggling group, be patient. We are out there.
