So great to see you here Jason. I watched you in the day when you played in Robin of Sherwood My uncle Dod Lived in Buccleuch Terrace opposite the meadows in Edinburgh and he went to school with your dad Sean Connery when they were young, he showed me pictures from when they used to play football together in the meadows after school when Sean waited for his mum to collect him after work. I was brought up in Loanhead and later lived in Bonnyrigg. Sean (famously) played football for Bonnyrigg Rose football club when he was younger. He was a legend and a great ambassador for Scotland.

Wow really impressive - a really nice down to earth chat with rather a huge star I wont lie i was expecting to see a good looking young lad with Nordic looks and long blond hair - still a really good looking man but its easy to forget how fast time has flown for him and all of us - im still suffering from shock at getting my bus pass a few weeks ago - an almost sureal experience A very interesting conversation - thank you

I must admit I was always a Praed gal and so disappointed when Mr C joined. But I thawed! (It was my favourite show ever.) But now so admire him for his directing and the Leith project. Not just doing heaps for Edinburgh and Leith, but the whole of Scotland! A fine man. ♥️

I liked how you handled Mr Connery’s comments about Americans at 41:31 as he generalized American behavior and desire to know their history, seemingly mocking Americans as he told about his experiences. I’m glad you responded with your own perspective in a positive light. Thank you. Your inclusiveness makes you/your show just so awesome 👏 👏 👏

Yes, your response Tony, was most gracious. Thank you! I think- as you discussed- our history is very new compared to the rest of the world. Most of us are not that far removed from our immigration- and we look for our roots. Thanks for these wonderful interviews!

I absolutely agree with the comment about taking a lifetime to discover Scotland! Even with all of my travels and time exploring in Scotland, there is still so much more that I need to discover. I will never tire of it! Loved this interview. Thanks so much!

What a wonderful interview. It’s been a long time since I was in Edinburgh but after listening to Jason it’s made me think I need to go back. As a keen photographer it’s going to be bliss! RIP Sir Sean, my all time favourite actor. Sadly missed.

I really enjoyed the interview! Good on Jason for doing something for the Scottish Film Industry. My mum was 1 year older than Sean Connery and from Gorgie, she told me she used to see Sean at The Roxy, surrounded by women!!

Another fantastic episode of Scottish Memories! Your interviews with everyone just makes me realise more and more that although Scotland is small in size there is so much packed into the space to see and experience. Thank you Tony! I'm excited to see what will come of Jason's work with the studios!

Must admit to having a bit of a crush on Jason Connery, way back in the day!! 🤣 He is just so delightfully 'normal' despite his special upbringing ..and he praises Leith! Which is my favorite part of Edinburgh I completely agree with Jason, about the beauty of Scottish architecture and even more so, about 'the noise' of the US buildings 💙 Great interview, Tony!

Another fabulous interview Tony!! Love your chats and hearing other’s thoughts. Side bar note, USA does have buildings older than 200 yrs old. Mr Connery can find most of them on the east coast of USA....some go back over 300 yrs. Obviously not as old as Scotland or elsewhere in the world. Just thought I’d mention it 😉

It's true that Edinburgh being a big city has a tight familiarity within it's residents. A guy I went to school with at Bruntsfield is an actor and dj, Grant Stott. I'm halfway around the world in Texas an I haven't seen him in 40 years. Keep up the good work and thanks.👍
