New subscriber here, just discovered the channel. We used to do this and the usual suspects… Aonach Egach, Crib Goch, Tryphan etc. mountain training in the military in the days before the internet. Any enjoyment was tempered by the honking 70lb bergans and rubbish issued boots but I remember this being a treat. Thank you so much for this, I never thought I’d see it again.

That first ridge on the cobbler is Eagles Ridge, and all around you are munroes. It's called Arrochar Alps. I think that's loch fyne below. Brings back memories. This was just stunning ❤ I'm in Western Australia, so we get to watch the sunset over the ocean here. We watch the sun slowly sink into the huge expanse of the ocean, with all the colours you can imagine reflecting off the water as well as in the sky. It's spectacularly beautiful, and it really does remind you what a privilege it is to be alive. Admittedly, I don't have to climb there and back 😂 and this video had me screaming on the inside once or twice 😂but what an awesome trip ❤ Thank you so much for sharing 👍

Enjoyed that immensely. The cobbler was my first proper hill at the age of 9 and that was with a collie the same age as me and my parents. Been up it in all weather, solo, with family and with friends. What a hill.

Many years ago I worked in a hotel just in the valley in Arrochar. I went up the cobbler between my slit shift, I slept so well that that night I slept through the fire alarm! Lucky it was a false alarm 😂

They took boulders off Narnain to make the path up the Cobbler.( Narnain seems to crumble much more than than Ime or Arthur. )

Technically it is a sea loch, connected to the sea but still a loch! That one's Loch Long, we stayed there a couple of times at Portincaple, you can see Arrochar from your view. Have driven past and admired The Cobbler when exploring, but I'm not fit enough to climb it! 🤣

Great video and well done.The Cobbler was the first hill I climbed as a young boy and is close to my heart. Arrochar area is my favourite place in the UK and still go up the Cobbler when I'm in that area. Best Cobbler video I have seen. Atb Steve 👍
