They say 'there's many a true word said in jest' if that's true Rab C Nesbitt should be considered the greatest social commentator there has ever been in Britain! I firmly believe that our politician should stop listening to their twisted circle of perverted advisors and watch an episode of Rab C Nesbitt every day!

Dave M, I sympathise with you, as Spanish Speaker, 12 years ago, my Spanish was quite good. I worked in a Refugio de Periginos for 10 years, and as a consequence I had to deal with tradesmen on a daily basis. The work was hard, but the rewards were good. As you know, there are lots of regional accents in Spain, as well as four languages. Still as a serving Soldier, I spent two years in Edinburgh, we used drink in a pub in a village called Collington. It was very similar to the “ Giblet” ( the name is enough to to crack me up 😂) every night there was entertainment on, ie a fight!!! there was loads of “Barms” and “ Slop Brains “ as Rab.C dryly observed in one episode. A great social commentary on today’s society. It’s a pity that the cosseted Southerners, get a cop out by not understanding, they are too concerned about their Property Portfolios, Dinner Parties, and talking inane SHITE.

He's not trying to speak English he is speaking in the Glasgow dialect of the Scots language which although dying is still spoken in various parts of Scotland. It's got nothing to do with Scots not getting on with the English.
