Lovely song. Feels like a pinch of flavouring from all over their musical career in that song. A little reminiscent, for me, of the Streetfighting Years; but also of the album that came after, Real Life, and their genius for sampling some of what they did in a previous incarnation as Simple Minds and flavouring the new stuff with it. A lovely dish. I'd give a 10, easy.

Amazing new album from Simple Minds. Solstice Kiss is my favorite. It feels new, but also reminds me of their older songs. It is beautiful and heavy at the same, with great vocals. It is nothing simple about Simple Minds. They Stand, and stand strong! I love their studio albums, but when they play live, they can really take forward the magic in many of their songs. Solstice Kiss will be one of them! Thank you, Simple Minds!

Saw them live for the one and only time in Melbourne Australia in 1984 when I was 23. My then boyfriend was a Simple Minds freak,but they were playing with the Eurythmics and that who I wanted to see. But I left that concert a Simple Minds freak myself and have loved them ever since. They still have the magical sound that is different from any other band. Will probably never get to see them again, but oh how lucky I was, and my ears rang for days afterwards. Brilliant concert!!
