I just concluded a 30-year career as a firefighter/medic. I will not miss these scenes and trying to help the ones affected. We spend a career trying to make someone's worst day a little easier, but sometimes we can't. So to see this man who chose to help as many as he could, instead of grabbing a camera, it warms my heart. He s the type man we hoped would apply for a job. That's a good guy...a really good guy. God bless these victims, their families and this kind man who cared.

He sure as hell would have been a great paramedic for sure. That's the career I'm looking to get in to in a few months.
@randyporter34914 жыл бұрын
Stardust Dreams Thats great ! I was a BTLS (Trauma Life Support) instructor for years and an EMT instructor. I loved paramedic school, but didn't enjoy working an ambulance. A firefighter/medic gives you both worlds, with much less burnout. Most departments send a fire engine to all medical calls, along with an ambulance anyway. Best of luck if you follow that career path !

Southern Gospel Music when I was 2 the car my mom was driving had a complete break failure. I still remember the crash and the person who came to the window and asked if we were ok. That was way back when seatbelts were merely a nuisance item you moved so it wouldn’t stab you in the butt. But my mom made us wear ours and I’m glad she did as the car ran into a stone wall.

@@tomwest8663 Airbags are more advanced now, they are designed now to prevent a driver from striking a pillar which is a main cause of fatal head injuries, back in 2004 and even later, it was common for a dummy's head to slide off of the airbag and strike the pillar, recording a possibly fatal injury, they started to focus more on that and now it's common for airbags to extend past the pillars, which in this case may have made a big difference if the driver had been belted, obviously it wouldn't help someone who isn't belted completely, although it does help some especially if the side curtain airbags are deployed as well.

More like PAY ATTENTION. She ran off the roadway, came back on the roadway and crossed over into the path of that semi truck. The trucker tried to avoid her but not enough time or roadway. If the trucker had stayed his course and not tried evasive maneuvers, his truck would likely be upright and there would likely have been 5 fatalities.
