I've definitely had this story overload happen. Watching two TV shows, reading a book, playing a video game, following several monthly comic series, and playing in a D&D campaign all at the same time gets to be a lot.

I've never understood how people can read like 5 books at once and be happy about it. If I start one, I'm committed to that one until it's over, 100%. And yeah, multi-tasking is just doing more tasks less efficiently, 😅.

For me, all that matters is whether a story is good or not. If it's good, I will binge it all day and not get tired. If it's bad, I start falling asleep right away and have to do something else. I suppose I do limit myself but only because I want to be consuming the best thing at any given time. Everything else can wait until that's done.

I'm having kind of the opposite revelation in regards to reading. For a few years I hardly read anything, felt like I could never finish anything. Now, I've given myself leave to juggle multiple books, and I've been finishing far more! Currently reading: - The Two Towers by J.R.R Tolkien (via Audible) - Ship of Destiny by Robin Hobb (paperback) - Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio (eBook) And that's alongside watching Arcane, playing Genshin and WoW. I think variety helps my flavour of ADHD to reach the end of narratives, albeit over a longer period of time than is typical. I've finished 14 books so far this year, which is huge for me.
