There's a common misconception where people think that just because they can play the guitar, they can also teach it. That's made it really hard for me and many others to learn, but Scott is such a great teacher and it helps so much.

Words typed in the comments do not have the capacity to convey my appreciation for what you're doing. I cannot pinpoint what makes your videos vastly more helpful than other youtube lessons (whether it be your overlay, pace/tone of speech, etc) but all your work makes a lovely amalgamation of guidance. Thank you.

To be fair, I wasn’t very motivated before, but you also just make it so, so easy to understand. There’s something very nice about learning theory that you can immediately apply and try for yourself. So thank you for uploading these videos!!

Glad you are back. You are by far my favorite guitar teacher on YT. You teach like a teacher and not a guitar player showing you what they know. You convey the "why" better than anyone on YT teaching guitar. You aren't just giving tips or exercises, but a direction in which I can pour my effort into knowing that it will pay off. It already has. I look forward to what you bring us this year.

He's knowledgeable, the pacing of the lessons is spot-on and the three-pane setup with the one camera fixed to the fretboard is excellent. The set-up, the subjects he tackles, the production values and his delivery are all great. On top of that he's really personable; he makes me want to be his friend and invite him over for jam night.
