Great video Scott! It was nice meeting you at #FanFusion. Hope you’re enjoying Badass Girl. We’re doing a few more cons this year- and your observation that we’re getting back to basics and indie comics are well positioned is really encouraging. In fact Fan Fusion 2022 was our highest selling single event! Thanks for sharing your experience. Look forward to more great posts😀

Great meeting you to Chris. I have heard of similar experiences from other indie comic creators. Hopefully we will start to see the landscape begin to change with more of an audience looking for indie comics. I’ll have your pitch for Bad Ass Girl included in the next video.

Even with the social distancing, I want to get a table at a convention. I would love to meet people who like my art.

I hope you get a chance to experience that soon.

Sorry I don’t pay much attention to details like shirt colors and I did net a lot off cool people.

I've never been to a con as a creator, I do want to do at least one to get that experience. Those sketch covers turned out great!

Thanks Frank, It's wouldn't hurt to start with a small con and just dip your toes in.

It couldn’t hurt. That’s what I did and now I do regular signings at my local comic store and have even done variant covers for them.

Kind of thinking about getting into cons, but as a mostly digital artiest I wasn't sure as it would be hard for me to do commissions on the fly. It's good then to hear that I can focus on pitching and selling my comic. ^_^ I'm also thinking about adding a table top game based on the universe I've created to go along as a companion to the comic. Cast as many nets as you can, kind of thing.

I wouldn't let that discourage you, mast artist are not doing commissions , they are selling prints of their digital art.

17 minutes and didn't answer the question in any remote way, great clickbait

Not all questions are answered with a simple yes or no. I presented my experience at a recent convention, I talked about how in the past comic comic have moved away from being comic focused, and how post pandemic I noticed at least at this convention it seemed like a bit of a reset and I noticed more of a focus on comics with more independent artist selling and making money selling only comics and not print. From that the audience gets to infer whether comic cons are any place to sell their comic. Sorry you didn't pick up on that, but definitely not click bait,
