I got so emotional watching this. I don't know why. Maybe just in awe at the beauty that kept developing before my eyes and it overwhelmed me. Especially when the music kicked in. Your are amazing. Thank you.

Loving these watercolor abstract demos. There are so few watercolor abstract artists that I am aware of, but I have become quite interested in working in this area, and always looking for inspiration on methods and references. Thank you for this! 💖💖

I have not painted that much in abstracts but I love that kind of art too! I will definitely keep exploring that and use landscapes as the vehicle to explore abstraction. Good luck exploring this yourself too! Glad this is helpful! cheers Scott

No worries! It will be easier to make that decision when it arrives. Generally framed it will be about 25cm wider and taller. In other words yours would be about 80cm x 63cm framed. Hope it arrives safely! 👍👍

Great to watch how your paintings evolve. I must make up some big bowls of colour like you. When I go abstract with the water spray I end up with wet, almost clean paper and all the colour in a puddle at the side 😄. Your vids are inspiring.

@@ScottSwinson Hi Scott! North East...George Town - I moved here 3 days before the initial lockdown last year! Originally from Sydney, and wife from Poland. Reminds me of the Bay of Fires, but also reminds me of my spot where I go for my afternoon coffee by the Tamar, if I look across to Kelso the first set of mountains leading down to Greens beach and the second set of mountains, that painting reminded me of Sunset, never fails to cheer me up!

What other paper can I use and how is yours clamped? On an easel? At the go over it looks like its on a canvas. Great stuff though. I'm thinking of doing one, only a little larger if possible
@ScottSwinson3 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert! You could use any 300gsm or thicker paper. When working large I often just attach at the top only. That way it can expand as it gets wetter. I only put it on the easel fir the video. I almost never paint on it as it’s not stable enough for me. 👍👍 good luck! 👍👍

Your art is soo beautiful and even meditative! Where do you get large and thick watercolor paper? Or have you ever tried Schmincke Aqua Medium for canvas?
@ScottSwinson3 жыл бұрын
Hi Elli! Thanks! I find it so involving! I love to just paint and not talk and have some classical music in the background! Most of the time I use Rives BFK etching paper sheets that are 56cm x 76cm and 280gsm. I should pre-stretch them but I don't very often! I also get rolls of the same paper but 300gsm and can then paint paintings that are 200cm long and about 100cm high. I haven't tried the Schmincke Aqua Medium for canvas but I did do some experimentation a while ago and decided none of the mediums performed how I would like and so now paint on paper and then varnish it then wrap it around a canvas! That's what I do at the moment. Cheers Scott
@ElliScott3 жыл бұрын
@@ScottSwinson Thank you so much! It helped me a lot!! Do you stretch the ready artwork on canvas with a tacker? I'm just wondering because I fear the paper could crack!
