Youngstown & Southeastern Railroad abandoned P&LE control tower interchange at Graham IBCX 222 RS5T

Following up from my last video... here we see the Y&S crew with 7225 crossing the NS Youngstown at Graham. They left most of their train between Bob Cene Way and the Mohoning River bridge and went to CSX with the boxcars and tank car. On the way back from CSX they pass through the former P&LE Gateway yard where the control tower still stands. The crew then shoved the interchange cars north into Norfolk Southern's Hazelton yard and then shoved loaded trash cars out. Once they got the signal the crossed Graham and returned to home rails. The next day I followed them again chasing 222 with tha RS5T which will be a further video!

Nicely done portrayal of a short line that ekes out a living. I remember going past that office tower Circa 1977 and how busy things were and now the abandoned disrepair is such a sharp contrast. Even the slow-moving train with the types of cars they were handling put a bit of a damper on the scene. Thankfully the Autumn Leaves helped brighten up the scene

This is great. I love this kind of railroading in old industrial settings with abandoned buildings and tracks buried in the dirt. Some of it is still hanging on.

The wrecker and the truck closest to the fence across the street look like B Model Macks. The dump truck to the left of the building in the picture looks like a newer R Model. Thanks for pointing that out. I missed the trucks on the first run through.

Youngstown Southeastern os one of my favorite railroads I actually got to hang put with them one day and they said they are beginning to run longer trains because they are expecting new GP locomotives woth more horsepower to pull heavy longer trains

Good shots. I see the line they crossed is not connected, I presume out of service(1:37). Another set of disconnected track at 8:40 . Scott please enlighten me -CAMP CHASE ?!?

Camp Chase is another railroad operated by the Indiana Boxcar Corporation (IBCX). Owned by Powell Felix who was the president of Indiana Hi-Rail.

@@worldwwwf Powell sold those railroads off in 2019. MB Rail took over, and they still operate the YS but they sold off the CKIN, VV & CAMY. MBR only has the YS & TTI now.
