Country music has taken a turn away from anything that closely resembled country music for quite some time. It is so refreshing to have Scotty's latest album out! We have been waiting a long time for this one, and boy was it worth it! It's a shame he had to hold back on new music while working his way out of his Idol contract, but my word- I am so glad he did! I have thoroughly enjoyed all of his music prior to this album, though his writing is wonderful and adds a personal touch to his amazing vocals. Its nice to see the good guys win one for a change! Awesome Scotty- can't wait for you to tour in Arizona and we are already awaiting your next album :)

My son just shared with me that this is the song he will be SINGING to my future daughter-in-law as she walks up the aisle on their wedding day. It is so much like their life together has been. I teared up listening to it and asked him if he is going to be able to do it with him in tears as he watched her walking towards him. He said if he started to tear up he would look at me and think about me asking if he could do it. Like any kid he will prove he can do anything. So happy for you both..... AARON AND SUSAN!!! This sound of Country music should be the modern sound for the genre. Not the hip hop beats you usually hear with FGL, Luke, or even in Rodney Atkin's latest. Which I'm not saying those songs are bad in anyway shape or form, but a song like this to me is just so much more easier to listen too. It sounds good, there's no super hard beat like some pop, or hip hop band, there's actual instruments (at least to what I can hear), and nothing is overpowering or distracting from the story of the song that the singer wants to tell to his listeners. Something I wish country music was more of, but I'm just a person, not a big company looking for the easiest dollar.
