Discharging cargo using the Scotty squeeze technique. Watch this how we get the cargo off the ship pretty quick and safely.

You make it look easy. Fun actually like a video game. But I don't like heights, but we do what we gotta do.

Right on brother! Nice operating! I’ve been off since August. I can’t wait to get back in the big seat. Hopefully I’ll be back in the crane in March or April. Solidarity from Tacoma local 23, Jeremy Kamel 61251

My boss would have a heart attack if I played the beam like that 🤣

Can your boss operate the crane . If he can't drive the crane he has nothing to say are you operate.

@@scottbarton100 I hear you bro. He probably can’t no. But we can’t manually adjust our beams. Wish we could after seeing your videos. Makes light work whilst discharging the holds.

What’s happening man? I love that technique, but I can’t figure it out on Southern Cal cranes can you show details of how you’re doing that?

The crane has to have a manual auto connection on it a manual auto with an extension and retract that's how you do it put it into manual as you're going to the ship squeeze it up count to about 3 seconds if you listen to the video I should be enough to get the beam spawned up when you bypass the top of the cell guys you you put it back into auto and put a little tilt on it water side tilt it took me a year and a half to make it like pour in water Good luck enjoy

Nice work Scotty, what brand of crane are you operating in this video? What controls does your crane have to manually adjust the spreader? foot pedal? Down here in Australia I’m doing the Scotty squeeze in reverse in our Zpmc’s, they only have auto options to adjust the spreader so it’s a tough one timing it coming in to discharge.

Right on Alexander nice meeting you my brother those are older zpmcs they came into the Port of Oakland and right around 2020 or 2000 I mean right in there you were able to have a manual on that one and we have new GPS they do have a manual but the controls I configured wrong so it's difficult to do that one yeah I know it's on the tall cranes the higher up you are the more narrow it gets I found that quite interesting
