at my age (66) ,it's easy to be all about regret, we've lived long enough to f up often, if you're doing it right, but it's not that big of a deal when I listen to this song.

A must listen album...pure genius... when doing some magic mushrooms... like "coincidentally" today... DC's music elevates....elaborates...and exuberantes everything within hearing range...one of my personal heroes.... cheers from the Mexican jungle!

IT WOULD BE UNIMAGINABLE TO LIVE WITHOUT THE SWEET MELODIES OF MUSIC!!!!!!!! THE SEVENTIES..... WERE SOME OF THE GREATEST TIMES OF MY LIFE, THERE WAS NOTHING LIKE THE GENRES OF GOSPEL, CLASSIC SOUL, SOFT ROCK, JAZZ, WHICH BACKDROPPED, SOFTENED THE BLOWS OF A TURBULENT ERA!!!!!!!! THIS SONG WAS A FAVORITE TRACT, OF A YOUNG, NAIVE GIRL BLINDED BY THE SUMMER SUN, A WILD IMAGINATION OF DEEP, SWEET, SOFT, MELLOW LYRICS OF THE SEVENTIES!!!! I JUST LOVED DAVID'S SWEET VOICE, THE BLENDED SOUND OF INSTRUMENTS, THE VOICES OF HIS BAND!! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH PRECEPTION, JUST BECAUSE WE THINK, HOLD BELIEFS , DOESNT MAKE THEM SO!!!!!!!!

LAUGHING(David Crosby) I thought I met a man Who said he knew a man Who knew what was going on I was mistaken Only another stranger That I found And I thought that I had found a light To guide me through My night and all this darkness I was mistaken Only a reflection of a shadow That I saw And I thought I had seen someone Who seemed at last To know the Truth🕊 I was mistaken Only a child laughing In the sun In the sun🌞

I did not think anything could ever compare or exceed the album track, but this is such a great arrangement. Sparse and haunting, pared down as if the other one was too busy. But, with that much talent on one tune it remains essentially unrivaled. Wish the audio here was better.

His voice is shot....Too many drugs......
@cccustard4 жыл бұрын
Don't be idiotic. Maybe not as good as when he was at his peak but still up there. His drug taking is legendary and goes way way back through all those years when he had the greatest male voice in music.For reference, compare it to the rest of the absolute shite coming out of the mouths of 99.9% of vocalists these days. The closest thing to Nat King Cole of this generation. If you know who he is.

Um. Nope. Not shot. A fine old wine. Amazing
@mandorob4 жыл бұрын
ummm, let's see, he was 76 when this was recorded? How many 76 year olds do you know that can sing as well or the same as when they were in their 20s and 30s. Like Steven said, aging like a fine wine. He can still belt it out or sound really pretty.
