⁠@@sueprator9314 Within WHAT bounds? The Supreme Court just said today that the president can do anything he wants if it is within the scope of his official power and that has a very wide berth. What is "out of bounds" after today? It means he can't go out on the street and SA someone but he can shoot someone in the Oval Office if he think's there's a good reason for it. That is who we are now. Biden might be a little bit too inclined to play by the old rules and that concerns me because if we don't win and win big, the next administration that comes in will be doing anything they want and I don't know if people are really using their imaginations as to what that will look and feel like. And I'm afraid that your Biden will be so concerned about proving to everybody he knows would be honorable is that he won't save us from it.

I hope chad these decisions by the court finally begin to help people understand the critical importance of the courts, the presidency, and the Senate. None of the bad decisions this court has made over the last few years. Would have happened had we made a different choice in November 2016. Voting rights, row, environmental protections, chevron, affirmative action all would still be the law of the land. We also wouldn't be talking about an imperial president who can assassinate an opponent in an official act and not be held accountable.

The ruling by SCOTUS REQUIRES that Judge CHUTKAN have hearings to determine whether djt's crimes regarding Jan 6 are within presidential duties.....and requires that Jack Smith SHOW ALL HIS CARDS. THIS means that Jack Smith CAN BASICALLY SHOW THE ENTIRE CASE TO THE PUBLIC. BTW...THE 88 DAY RULE APPLIES TO TRIALS BUT NOT TO HEARINGS. THEY CAN GO FASTER. YAY!

I appreciate this long reading Libby. Two things: For some reason, I'm not feeling the anger either. I feel we needed the whole Trump nightmare to weed out the corruption, which we weren't even really aware of before, at least not to this extent. And two, we weren't aware of our own prejudices, biases, or ignorance, or those of our fellow countrymen, to the extent that we are now. It all needed to be brought out into the light. So we're at an inflection point now. I also feel it was a lesson to other countries as well, with some leaning right now. Like what one of the cards says, be careful what you wish for.

I would encourage anyone who wants their vote to count to go to the ballot box or have someone drop it off for them at the courthouse. With DeJoy still manipulating the post office with his own trucking company I don't trust it to get there on time. I had an overnight package mailed from 55 miles away and it travelled over 600 miles according to the tracking and took 3 days.
