Beautifully restored hammers. Another great video. I dont use the thumbs down button because I can tell if, from my perspective, a video is not useful. If it's no good, I'll go to another channel right away. The thumbs down button has almost no use unless you say why you've given the video a thumbs down. Thumbs down may mean anything from someone who wants to maintain the used condition of a tool to someone who is just mean spirited. The thumbs down may have nothing to do with the skills demonstrated. I dont pay attention to thumbs down. Thanks for helping the little animals during Thanksgiving. A nice gesture. Birds in our area really like the suet I put out in the winter. Keeps me busy refilling feeders. I thought birds here would also like the millet mix with other seeds, but they dont. Their hands down favorite is black oil sunflower seeds. Thanks

Nice restoration on the hammers. You must be related to Ellie May from the Beverly hillbillies. All the animals from horses cats dog and all the bird family’s get fed before we do . Yesterday there was 30 ducks in our back yard , probably 75-100 hummers , dove ,black birds, red wing black birds and a lot more. We have to be careful of our low flying friends. Thank You

My grandpa ran a antique store for years, and passed away last summer, he has literally a ton and a half of old tools, record player, furniture, you name it, in storage, a few things I've been fortunate enough to restore, and keep myself, always loved checking out his work and hearing his stories, when we got to spend time together, and check out his restorations. You can bet he is turning the crank on a ol Victrola in heaven right now, putting a smile on everyones face, as that needle makes that one and only scratching sound, as it does when making contact with vinyl, right before playing some old classic, that has been forgotten in time, but a known melody to those around him now, love you poppaw.

Nothing better than looking out of the window and seeing all the wild life feeding. We do not have racoons or possums, we have squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits and all sorts of birds, they are a joy to watch. Now if you have a dispute with the energy companies they can switch you off without even coming to your door. Modernisation.

This one came out great too. I am really impressed, not just with the heads but the handles also. I was really expecting them to get replaced with new wooden handles. The backstory to this Ball Pein is a bit dull really. I can remember it from the previous house so going back to early 60's, then later it was at the new property. It got used on repairing the car (hence the oil /dirt) and very occasional light duty around the house and garden. Because it was smaller/lighter it was mostly overlooked and sat in bottom of the drawer. The heavier hammers got used mainly, some of those got really beat up ! Thanks again John. The smart meters over here in UK are quite flimsy looking compared to those, I have refused to have one so far.

Always nice to know the story behind a tool. Some of them are truly touching. Tools without a story are very sad. It's like an old house without an owner to care for it. So.... we have to give them a story! We could just make up some bs and call it a day but it is much more fun to weave a story out of actions, memories and, occasionally, band-aids. You do this very well. Nice hammer.

I work for the electric company and there’s an area by our general shops where they dispose of the old meters and there’s a huge dumpster with thousands of them in there. I used to read meters when I started in the company. On some senior managers desks they’ll have a lamp that has a working electric meter in its base and it spins and the dials turn when the lights on. They are given out as a gift to them once they work a certain number of years. I always wanted to get one. A quick check on eBay and there are lots of these meter lamps for sale. I just saw a gas meter lamp too! Holy shit

Hi Scoutcrafter,great video as usual but I always like when you finish the show and talk about the animals that you have in your area many of which we don't have here in England,we do of course have many birds and I have 3 feeders that hold 5 fat suet balls a piece, a tub of 50 usually last a couple of weeks in the winter when there can be a dozen or so birds at the feeders all waiting their turn and as if queuing up whilst sitting in the tree branches of the back garden,our reward is to watch them feeding and to listen to the chirping especially the frenzy when Malcolm the cat from next door passes through whilst on his walkabouts,anyway the birds around here should be well plumped up to fend off the cold tonight as it drops below freezing.
@ScoutCrafter3 жыл бұрын
The Suet is great because it slows down the feeding and more birds get a chance to eat. I just miss my trees! 😃👍
