@@duncanweinhagen there isn't 7000 scps(yet). There's somewhere in the neighborhood of 6200-6300 SCPs. He's doing about 2-3 a day so that's about 5-8 years. Though I assume he may get another editor or maybe another reader at some point and that could possibly speed things up even further.

@@BananaChicken21 The most popular videos dont have these thumbnails, and the view count has been fluctuating as of late. Sometimes, there are more views on one, but now, theres only like 1000 views and around 17 comments on some videos. Its a steady decline.

The channel is barely a year old, not to mention uploads two videos a day, meaning people don't necessarily have the time to catch up. I honestly don’t understand the flack this channel is getting for the thumbnails. I mean you could make a case for some of the earlier videos but the thumbnails recently have been relatively tame. Some of the criticisms of them have been way over the top saying stuff like it’s too suggestive and unrelated to the video. Tell me, what’s so suggestive about a woman who’s just standing still with a camera in her hands? Is it her boobs? It’s not like they’re oversized melons, they’re drawn reasonably in proportion to the rest of her body. Is it the exposed cleavage? She’s literally just wearing a shirt. I suppose she could be wearing sweater instead but I doubt that would stop some people from complaining about reasonably sized breasts. And now to the second point, what about this thumbnail is unrelated to the video’s content? As you can see from her lab coat, she’s an scp researcher and the scp in this video is in the background. Clearly she’s investigating said scp. Fits pretty well with the subject of this video to me. I understand that the style of the thumbnails is not for everyone but the criticisms these recent ones receive aren’t justified.

@Eddie Lee I still don’t understand. What’s clickbait about it? It tells you in the title and in the thumbnail what the video is about? The fact that it has an attractive woman in there as well is just a creative choice. If there was anything misleading about the title or the thumbnail, then yeah it would be clickbait but there is no such issue here. If the woman was the first and only thing someone noticed when they clicked on the video then that’s on them. I get that the thumbnail may not match the tone of the video but like I said earlier, it’s a creative choice and an effective tactic. If it really bothers you then perhaps you should stop watching these videos. As for me, a silly picture with a modestly dressed attractive lady isn’t going to stop me from enjoying good content.
