SCP-3182 is a dilapidated grocery store in the town of Denton, Missouri, which is host to a range of anomalous phenomena from 19:52 to 20:52 each day (hereafter referred to as a Deimos Event).
During a Deimos Event, no outside sources of visible light are able to penetrate SCP 3182. Additionally, individuals will find themselves unable to enter or exit the building, claiming when questioned that no entrances or exits exist. Video recordings of their time around SCP3182 show that this is not the case, suggesting SCP-3182 instead has an effect on the perceptions of those that come into contact with it.
Individuals present inside SCP-3182 during a Deimos Event are known to be anomalously affected in a number of ways, including:
Sudden and irregular bouts of extreme distress or melancholy.
Development of severe resentment towards the town of Denton, Missouri.
Recollection of memories determined to belong to former regular customers at SCP-3182.
Paranoia regarding a vague approaching danger, and a need to do something about it.
A strong desire to leave SCP-3182, even though this is not possible.

It's interesting that this store is not haunted by literal ghosts, but is instead haunted by the ghost of young people's ambition. You see it a lot in retail/food service. People start out hopeful that they will only need the job for a couple years, but then that spark dies and they're still there a decade later. Maybe only using artsy angles to give the impression that we’re only able to see the world like this as well, with even the view outside blocked by convenient products , and only an all to bright flash as the door opens and closes throughout the film

SCP-3182 Grocery Store Looks like that place got infused in the walls with lower energy, demolition alone won't help, is important to add some good music, prayers, chorus and vibes in order to cleanse it, the Light Bringer created lots of songs to save us, you better thank L. There is a reason why there is music at shops, music saves and cleanses. What exactly happens in that place that was cursed or filled with various lacks of hope and lacks of jolly initiative is the astral appeareances and consequences of the shadow remnants that worked there, thus that energy created or attracted an egregore devourer from a lower dimension. Always care to be jolly to fill the vibes with greater good energy instead of being a killjoy because some people protect with their high vibes alot. Repression + despair + low vibes create those kind of portals towards the lower dimensions of Ghena/Ghana or Asase Ya/Afua. If the place was cursed instead of being blessed and added some good vibes and decorations then the results would be a protected decent please. You must have not really watched/read about SCP-3008-Aka The Infinite Ikea. Literally the ONLY similarity is that they are both stores in which you are highly unlikely to escape from. Pretty much EVERYTHING else is different, especially considering The Grocery Store's primary characteristics are supernatural in nature (think ghosts & paranormal), while The Infinite Ikea's primary characteristics are spacial/multidimensional (think parallel universe/muliverse).

D-693221 likely continued her life after her sentence, like said in the vid. Though D-44209 likely was terminated afterwards, since unlike D-693221 who wasn't really affected (which was lucky enough to survive and returned to normality)... so it's just procedure to terminated unsuable D-class in the SCP foundation.

This one is...well a different kind of tragic. Given that it is the state of Missouri, which is just an exaggerated way to say "Misery". This SCP is likely the personal or collective "demons" the staff were dealing with. The energy strong enough to give them a form that can physically harm people. Or in this case, scare them and delude them. While I wouldn't consider a rundown store like this as "evil", it is something that the employees considered to be "suffocating" or "Inescapable". Sure, they worked the dead end job as much as possible, yet happiness is just as important to keep the malaise at bay. It is ,more or less, a place that embodies the feelings of those broken by the cyclical nature of the business and disappointment that came with it; culminating in the haunting we see here. Nevermind the fact that the store could almost qualify as a liminal space since it is closed. The small, cramped, nature of the building is enough to make anyone feel stuck or trapped. Important Note: The Deimos Event is named after a Greek Mythological figure of the same name. Said figure was the embodiment of pain; particularly during times of warfare. Deimos is also the brother of Phobos, who (usually) represents Fear of Warfare. Yet, both brothers could represent pain and fear anywhere they go. In this case, this could be Deimos' presence given a physical, tangible form....and the staff, be they current or former, just happen to be broken enough to give it a place to call home; if only for an hour. In a way, the "ghosts" we see here could be facsimiles of their living counterparts; those who were smart enough to leave. All the while, they were throwing off the weight of what can described as a melancholic atmosphere. The ones Deimos remembers and replicates; a dark representation of the banality of this store and the sense of condemnation that isn't too far behind.

Some say a haunting happens when traumatic events build up leaving a “mark” behind. Not necessarily someone dying, but more of an emotional mark. In this case the writer really wanted to convey that feeling of being trapped in a dead end job in a dead end town. Not necessarily the thoughts of one person but of hundreds. Emotional stains left from years of stagnation and regret. The ghost might have been the first victim. Someone who had a panic attack driven by this anomaly that caused her to perish in fear. The fear of being trapped forever As someone who has recently moved to a small town I personally find it relaxing compared to a larger city. Unfortunately for the youth there isn’t too many places to work, so this sort of feeling could be relatable. Scary thing is there is a grocery store that almost fits this description. So my mind went there well the story was being told. Definitely a good entry when it makes you connect to real life places 😨
