I have a theory about this SCP: The event-version of the play was actually how the play was originally intended; however, it was changed for some reason or another, and SCP-701-1 is the author (or some anomalous representation of the author) who curses anyone involved with propagating the changes. The Foundation should use D-class personnel to recreate an event-version of the play 100 times; but with the violence only acted out, not actual violence. My hypothesis is that instead of getting 36 instances of an event and a 78% chance of a 37th event, there will be zero events. Update: Having just discovered SCP-2264, I am not sure my original theory is very plausible.

I agree w the update, 2264 really changes how 701 is viewed. I first found out abt 2264 before 701 and I kept seeing theories that didn’t really make sense for 701 since it was already disproven in the articles about 2264. 701-1 is the hanged king, king of the city 2264 is, and it also links to 035 (who is the black lord), 049 (who is the doctor that first appears in the article Pestilence In The Court Of Alagadda and very obviously is brought up in Everyone Wears A Mask, though he has amnesia there) and whatever number the bodies in the water is (It’s in There Are No Children In Alagadda)

Yeah just did my research. Apparently Scp 701-1 is from Alagadda aka Scp 2264 and he also has a seperate designation on Scp 2264 as 2264-5. He is the monarch of the realm of Alagadda and is considered one of the most powerful entities in the universe. And apparently at some point the Hanged king came into contact with the scarlet king and he fell into service for Scarlet king alongside Jeser and Moloch (another powerful scps) and came to be known as The King On The Gallows, He who was Hanged and he tore down the tree of knowledge.
