SCP Secret Lab | A great game but a Moderation nightmare

Here's some of my opinions from when I used to play. I use to stream the game and record videos on one server, had to deal with doing moderation for the server. I had to go to mods constantly to get someone to stop saying the N word, or to stop being homophobic, ect ect. The moderation of that one server could literally be paid for I think. It's fucking insane how shit the server was, given how I had to do more moderation than the moderators did sometimes. One of the moderators just was a dick and prevented me from playing the game, while the others did jack-all and fucked around breaking the rules of the server, and on even some cases fucking crashing the server using grenades. The players themselves were mainly try hards which is to be expected from a multiplayer game. The whole 'party' game aspect is taken away when you have teammates yelling at you constantly for 1 mistake. There is such a small crowd of people trying to have fun. (generally new players only) I later found out the owner looked through my socials I had listed on discord and made assumptions of me, leading to people slandering me. Which is just uncomfortable that they were judging a then 14 year old based off of anatomy. The game really needs; actual moderation, rather than people who own servers letting their friends "do moderation" for them, while they rack in money from kids trying to become staff via patreon. The scp's not needing a plugin to speak. Clearier server rules since the rules are vague. And More things to spice up gameplay, such as; More scp's, More weapons, Possible surface layouts, More team's/human Classes, And New room generation- such as idk maybe variety to how a heavy containment looks compared to another heavy containment generation, with walls having different textures and the such.

The big issues with the soundboards i feel that most people who use them abuse them. I think real conversation/interaction is much funnier. I personally find sound boards really annoying most of the time, probably because one person could ruin a specific sound in a way that everytime I hear that sound I can only associate it with that time

Doesn't matter where any game with more then a single server moderation is gonna suck espically ones that the community can run cause techically the offically mods also have to moderate community made servers sure they don't entirely have power they just need to make sure the comunity made isn't trying to seem like it's a offical server or something really stupid to do but there's always some cough cough dumbass that does this i dont know why cause all they do is act like a kid with admin which they usally are also doesn't help that like 90% of the "moderation" is solely up to the players to do the team bs is honestly stupid games are ment to be fun and if this is supposed to not be a rp game why is all teams allowed to use scps that's techically teaming even if no player can play the cap so uh i don't think they thought this stuff out much

Maybe it's an issue that has become prevalent in the recent years or maybe it's because english speaking servers are more toxic but I've rarely had a bad experience with moderation on polish servers. I've used to play this game religiously ~5 years ago and I could think of only one bad interaction with server moderation. Sure there were times where I was unhappy with them but it was mostly due to differences in views on how games should be played. In that case I just hopped on a different server. Other than that they were usually very chill and helpful
