Idea: Build a machine with the sole purpose of emptying all compartments in SCP-216 (The Safe) one by one, to minimize the weight. Then bring SCP-216 to Site-65 and position it so SCP-225-1 is within SCP-216, close the door, and change the combination. In theory, this could allow you to move SCP-225-1 wherever you wish. I believe the chance of strange behavior is minimal, since the inside of a compartment seems to freeze in time when the compartment changes. For the sake of safety, SCP-225-1 could be released in the same location once SCP-225-2 had passed by. Also in theory, SCP-225 is of no risk to us. Most of the space that composes an atom is empty space (More than 99%), and there is space between atoms that also exists. Should the two objects be impossible to divert from their respective paths, it's probable that the force between the objects would be enough to overcome the repulsive force of the electrons, and cause the two objects to move through each other

Oh, and I don't disagree with those saying there's too many "DATA EXPUNGED" instances. This was my first creative writing endeavor of any kind basically. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but both objects are technically constantly in motion, right? Even the "immovable" sphere is actually moving. What the only thing capable of moving them is each other? Like their own shared law of inertia. In which case, if they collided, one would move faster, and the other would move slower. It'd be catastrophic, but not apocalyptic.

So... if they are effectively indestructible and collide... that's a 100% outward reflection of all impacted energy. And, given what is stated about them, that is potentially nova-creating with the immediate center becoming a singularity.
@gavinjenkins899
@gavinjenkins899 3 жыл бұрын
Dunno how you'd possibly predict any of what you just said, since you don't know their energy, mass, or anything else, nor does it fundamentally make any sense for "two things to keep moving anyway" in the first place to even begin to calculate anything. May as well calculate the amount of energy from "purple monkey dishwasher"
@That80sGuy1972
@That80sGuy1972 3 жыл бұрын
@@gavinjenkins899 It's the absolutes that effectively give any number in an equation infinite as the input. Energy doesn't disappear nor magically glitch out the universe because some sophists with some basic understandings created a low-education thought experiment that creates an eternal "what if" because it's more "complex" than a "if a tree fell in the woods..." one. The infinite thresholds and infinite potential energy mean the energy is compressed and diverted in other directions. You can "fundamentally make sense" of the situations if you apply infinite in place of all relative variables despite that being impossible in reality. Thus, as I said, potentially nova-creating with the immediate center becoming a singularity. Relatively infinite factors are theoretically applied to actual thought experiments, random words pulled out of the air are not... and they are only useful to apply as an argument against the religious perception of reality because using them other ways really backfires the point made when using them.
@gavinjenkins899
@gavinjenkins899 3 жыл бұрын
@@That80sGuy1972 "mean the energy is compressed and diverted in other directions. " Nope, it doesn't mean that, because that violates the starting axioms you were given: that these things DO NOT GET STOPPED or affected by anything. Energy going to the sides = being affected/diverted/stopped. So you violated the rules. I can't blame you since it's impossible NOT to violate the rules when given a fundamentally nonsense/impossible scenario, but you did nonetheless, so your prediction is invalid. Along with any other possible prediction of an invalid/nonsense scenario. And even if we ignore all that and say "okay sure energy goes to the sides" anyway somehow, you STILL couldn't say anything about how violent it would be, because you don't know how much energy there is TO go to the sides. Do these things have the mass of mountains? Or the mass of 1/1000th of a speck of dust? You have no clue. So for all you know, the diverted energy could be about as strong as a fairy's fart. It's just a badly written story, simple as that. There is no answer.

A black hole is extremely dense and causes a massive gravity well as a result. These objects are not stated to affect gravity at all, so a singularity will not be formed. Maybe they are made of antimatter which is why anything we throw at them has no effect. Although, when matter and antimatter collide, they release a lot of energy. Maybe these spheres are invulnerable since they recycle the released energy to maintain their shape. Think of it like a snow plow driving through snow and using everything it touches to replenish itself. Answer: If they are made of antimatter, then it would look exactly like two beach balls thrown at each other. The immovable object will move and the unstoppable object will be redirected. ... and a bunch of people in space stations will say "Well that was anticlimactic" ...pun intended.

Why evacuate to another dimension? Wouldn't it be better to try to make a movable portal to another dimension to engulf both objects before collision? It should be timed to occur just moments before impact would happen in case they have a bond (both object may be fueling or hindering each other or neither)

This object could go one of two way. Either A.) They cause a mass reality erasure from quantum entanglement or B.) Theh literally just neutralize each other and nothing happens because if an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, they cancel each other out. In the original concept, it was a great spear against a great shield and they both broke making them both useless.

I'm in favor of the "Total shift in inertia" idea. If they connect, one goes flying, the other is halted in place and we're right back where we started. On the other hand, if one was TRULY unstoppable it could bounce off the immovable one. It wouldn't be STOPPED, just re-directed. Could end up anywhere. Outer Space, the Destroyer on Jupiter, your house...
