SCR Before and After the Big Update (Benton - Stepford)

On the 21st of April 2018, Stepford County Railway got a big update which involved the game being completely redone by BanTech Systems. In this video, we will be looking at the game before and after the update (Version 1.0.11).

This big update introduced the new HUD for drivers, still being used today in 2023. Can’t believe this “new style” HUD dates back to 2018… I play SCR since its very beginning. Winstree will always be the station I’ll miss the most

I only started 3 years ago at xmas 2019, but a lot has still changed under my eye. Winstree I know about tho, and its an unsung scr hero because; without winstree there would be no leighton. The map wouldnt be half as big. Sadly, like anything, change is invitable😢

I was a little sad about the update. Before it had no lag, today the lag only decreases with trains of 3 or 2 wagons

Not anymore with the new movement system by BanTech. Train are not even able to derail anymore bcs of this. Try the game again now!

Or you could play Stepford County Railway Custom Edition (SCRCED). There are some new extensions and operators such as Tramlink, Metro, City Express and Sleeper, but the HUD and stuff like that is practically the same as SCR before the big update.

I remember that version. The reason I think its good is because its less lag and Winstree used to be on that line. I wish they added Winstree back :(

If you are talking about the Legacy Edition then the lag is because it is not the real thing. It is a copy by a someone who hacked into the files and got a copy of the old game.

The 700 sound was the one when it is on AC (overhead) power so it had to be changed to the current one as 707s only have DC (third rail) compatibility irl.

Don't you worry there was plenty bugs back then. Not least the movement bug where the bogies moving with the rails caused an unholy amount of movement lag even on the best PCs

The had to redo the whole thing. None of the stations are the same as then, plus scenery had to be added.

Yeah I was surprised when they released it pretty much unchanged. That's the only one that didn't really have anything done to it.
