I have no idea how she aced this Bonus Sprint. BOTH words were tough! I don't know how she got them both, especially the first one!

Weird edit or something at 12:50. The second word got built off a square that wasn't used in the first word. Strange.

Probably just a production error, but because it didn't affect the outcome of the game (only potential money to be paid), they kept it in.

Before they zoom in on freckles, a second S appeared out of nowhere on that blue square. The U would have been $1,000. But that was the last letter so she got lucky.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that caught that. Curious.

Note also that Chuck started by saying they were building on the letter C, but the K was the given letter. My best guess: whoever was responsible for entering where the words appear on the board accidentally shifted FRECKLES one space to the left, and (this part is more of a guess) the subsequent words that appear show their "building on" letter regardless of whether it's actually in the previous word or not. If this is all correct, it means they wrote Chuck's card based on where the word was supposed to be, but assigned letters to the tiles based on where it actually was.

Stand mixer? Those sweepstakes winners are really lucky. Probably a more fun, and dare I say, better prize than the trip.

She's really good with Bonus Sprint, but she's getting really lucky to get there with her Sprint times against the other player.

This sprint had a couple words that were tough to see. We might have an easier time sitting here, but the time the first contestant gets is respectable.

@@wschmrdr I agree with both of you. Jacqui has yet to register a sub-30 second time, but some of those words were legit tough. I've gotten several of the words quicker than her, but I also wonder if there is some decicated space deep in my brain where strange Scrabble rerun clues reside. That being said, I can only imagine how it is actually being on the show live in front of all those cameras and people.

@@TeamPaul17 It's the first time I've seen them, but after watching a couple months worth of episodes, you begin to understand where the writers usually go with clues, and have a couple ideas in your mind as you pop in letters.

The second Sprint is the textbook example of why you gotta KEEP YA DAMN HANDS ON THE PLUNGER AT ALL TIMES 🙃 .. the fellow on his last word rang in literally 0.1 second too late, but if you add up all of the extra fractions of a second it took for him to bring his arms up from the sides for each of the other three words, he would've 100% won this.

That's just like basic Scrabbling. No reason not to do it, and you can see the problems if you don't.
@wschmrdr8 ай бұрын
@coldsnap5742 The debate could actually go both ways. How many contestants are holding their arm(s) up there, hit the plunger out of nervousness, and are assessed a 10-second penalty? I don't blame them for having their hands near their sides, as the false-hit mistake is much more egregious.

That Bonus Sprint was TOUGH!!!!
@wschmrdr8 ай бұрын
I didn't find it too difficult. Of course, Chuck's inflection on the first clue helped to think it was one of the lesser used homonyms, so I had it much quicker.

It would’ve been really funny with the cooks clue if we had Gordon Ramsey and Hell’s Kitchen back then.
