Scramble Alert❗Airmen Forced to Go from Zero to Airborne in Minutes

During a seemingly routine day at the 134th Air Refueling Wing, an unexpected alarm echoed through the base. It was a scramble alert - a call to action that demands immediate readiness. Airmen, going about their usual duties, dropped everything and sprinted to their assigned positions. The scenario was clear: they had to get a KC-135 Stratotanker, a crucial refueling aircraft, into the air as quickly as possible. But here's the twist - this exercise started from a position of complete unpreparedness.

I love our military, I'm a Firefighter myself and watching I wonder what happens if one of these guys say the Pilot sprains his ankle running to the plane or worse. The Plane isn't going anywhere if he can't fly it. Belive it or not the #1 in jury to first responders which these guys are our first line of defense is ankle sprains and breaks from running to there destination followed by heart attacks from the adrenaline rush. I'm not "Hating" on this video I love it but what do you guys think about what I said?

They've been doing this since the days of SAC. Alert force planes are always prepped and ready for take-off, hence Alert Force.

​@@BingWatcherThe Strategic Air Command (SAC) stood down the bomber and tanker alert forces in 1991. Then, in 1992 when the Air Force reorganized, SAC was inactivated. The bombers are now assigned to Air Force Global Strike Command and controlled as necessary by the US Strategic Command which stood up in 1992. There hasn't been bombers and tankers on day-to-day alert in 33 years. Many of the old SAC bases were closed during the old Base Realignment and Closure Commission ((BRAC) rounds.
